Lenovo Vibe S1 first impressions, benchmarks, camera samples

Like what I said yesterday at it's launch, this is the smartphone that I'll gonna recommend for girls and ladies. Here's what I got on the world's first phone with dual front camera, the Lenovo Vibe S1

Front: 8 and 2 MP dual front cameras, 5 inch IPS FHD display with Gorilla Glass 3, Android capacitive buttons
Back: 13 MP rear camera with flash, Lenovo and Vibe logos. Back is non removable and also covered by Gorilla Glass 3
Internals: 3 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, LTE, 2,500 mAh non-removable battery.

Left: Dual nano SIM (SIM 2 can also be used as a micro SD slot)
Right: Volume rocker, power/unlock button

Additional, good to know that the dual speakers at the bottom are real as based on my test.

CPU-Z said that it has 1.7 GHz Mediatek MT6752 octa-core processor. Good news for gamers that it has 10 point multi touch

Same with the Vibe P1m, the ROM inside was from Samsung. Too bad that we can't get a good mobile internet signal so I got over 45,000 unverified Antutu score

I always prefer 16:9 style in pictures to the MP count dropped when I had it on these camera samples

Lenovo Vibe S1 rear camera sample (6.2 megapixels)

Coz the Vibe S1 has dual front camera so I have to do 2 different kinds of selfies. The normal shot and the other one was the "dual cam" feature which you can erase or fade a photobomber in your precious pic. Good thing, one of the models there at the event helped me to execute that particular picture. There will be 2 kinds of outputs at that one: the one that has megabytes in size and my sample here which has less 300 kb which is good enough for easier uploading in social media sites.

With dual cam feature on

First impressions: I declared that this smartphone is for girls and ladies coz it is very light, has curved back and has rounded metal sides which is really comfortable in the hand. The white version in this hands-on is one of the best 5 inch smartphones that I handled. The Vibe UI is still there and the camera has a-ok output but the advertised MPs can only shot on 4:3 aspect ratio which is a kinda no-no for me.

Lenovo Vibe S1 will be available this last week of November for Php 15,999
