Lenovo Vibe P1m first impressions, benchmarks, camera samples

For my series of smartphone hands-on at the recent Lenovo launch, I had my eyes first on the most affordable of the bunch, the Lenovo Vibe P1m.

Front: 5 inch IPS HD display, 5 MP front camera in 4:3 aspect ratio and f/2.4 aperture. Android capacitive buttons.
Back: 8 MP rear camera with flash in 4:3 aspect ratio & f/2.2 aperture, Lenovo and Vibe logos. Removable back cover.
Internals: 1 GHz Mediatek MT6735 quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, dual micro SIM & micro SD slot that are all hot swappable, 4,000 mAh non-removable battery

Top: 3.5 mm audio jack, micro USB port
Bottom: Dual speakers (to be verified if real), pin hole mic hiding at the right side

Left: Power/unlock button
Right: Volume rocker

The ROM was supplied by Samsung. CPU-Z said that it is 1 GHz Mediatek MT6735 64-bit quad-core processor. No surprise that it only has 4 sensors including accelerometer, light, proximity and sound.

Out of 16 GB ROM, 9.77 GB was alloted for apps. For videos, it can shoot up to HD.

On Antutu, it scored at over 20,000 unverified score. It has 5 point multi touch.

I always prefer 16:9 style in pictures to the MP count dropped when I had it on these camera samples:

Lenovo Vibe P1m rear camera samples (6.2 megapixels)

Lenovo Vibe P1m front camera sample (3.7 megapixels)

First impressions: I am happy that this device is still light with that 4,000 mAh battery inside plus it is presentable. It has the same Vibe UI that I had on the Lenovo Vibe Shot plus hot swappable on SIM cards and micro SD. On the bad side, the camera output is a bit cloudy as I expected and the price can a bit lower compared to it's price in India plus it has the same price as to the more powerful A7000 Plus.

Lenovo Vibe P1m is now available in Lenovo Mobile stores and authorized resellers for Php 7,999
