Sony Xperia C5 Ultra first impressions, camera samples

After the M5 Dual,  I also got a chance to check the other new midrange phablet that was released by Sony lately. Here's what I discovered on the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra.

The front view has Sony logo, 13 MP selfie camera, LED notification and 6 inch IPS FHD LCD display. The back has 13 MP main camera with flash and Sony logo. This time, the back cover is in plastic but still has some great quality. The device also has Android 5.0 Lollipop, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 1.7 Ghz Mediatek MT6752 octa-core processor and 2,930 mAh non-removable battery.

3.5 mm. audio jack at the top, pin hole mic and micro USB port at the bottom.

I chose to put in some pics of the UI as you'll gonna expect the same things on the M5 Dual (which you can also take a look at my previous blog post) so I'll gonna jump in the camera samples. Same thing, these pics were taken in manual mode (no adjustments made). The selfie was taken without the flash. Both cameras have f/2 aperture and in 4:3 aspect ratio

First impressions: This is my first grip of a smartphone with really thin side bezels which gave me an easier time to hold and navigate it on one hand like a normal 5.7 inch device. Even though the back was made of plastic, it still looks good. The MT6752 SoC still handled those app transitions that I made. Before this, I already watched some first impressions of this device in India-based Youtube channels and same scenario that I saw, a bit slow on the processing of the picture which I might gonna accept over the M5 Dual but it will gonna challenge a lot of phones with the same SoC and almost half of the C5 Ultra's SRP.

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra is already available in Sony stores and accredited resellers for Php 17,990 (cash)
