Last March, a Cloudfone official gave me a teaser of their first Lollipop tablet. A day before the Android One Philippines launch, they revealed the CloudPad One 7.0 tablet. I am happy that I got my hands-on on this device freely.
The front has the 7 inch IPS XGA display with front camera. The device is powered by 1.8 GHz Intel Atom quad-core processor with Android 5.0 Lollipop which will receive OTA updates up to 2 years. It also has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM. The back has the Cloudpad logo and 5 MP rear camera.
At the top, you can see the 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB port. There's nothing to expect at the bottom.
I really felt the smoothness of the Android Lollipop OS just like in the 2 available Android One smartphones here. Out of 8 GB ROM, I found out that it has 4.9 GB for app storage which is a-ok. Quite confusing that the test device that I played doesn't have USB OTG but in their brochure, the brand claims that it has that feature.
One thing to look out for once you have this device for the first time, better to put up a file manager app to access your files and apps on it's internal storage and thru the micro SD. That's one obstacle that I had when previously reviewed an Android one smartphone.
Cloudpad One 7.0 tablet is already available in Cloudfone stores and authorized dealers for Php 6,999
