As you can see, the final no. of gigs of their internal memory or ROM is 8 GB which is good news. Still, the 3 remaining questions are the type of chipset, battery and price

The wait is over for us and for those who waited to the announcement of local mobile phone player SKK Mobile’s first true octa core Android device

A few hours ago in their Facebook page, they announced the SKK Mobile Kraken



Specs:

1.7 Ghz Octacore processor
Android 4.2.1 Jelly bean
5 inch IPS 854 x 480 (FWVGA) LCD display
8 MP rear camera with flash, 5 MP front camera
8 GB (or 4 GB ROM?) / 1 GB RAM
Dual sim/dual standby
WiFi/3G/Bluetooth/GPS
Expandable up to 32 GB via micro sd

Did you notice the specs and the picture, it’s a bit confusing that they said that it has 8 GB ROM but look at the lower right portion that it said it has 4 GB internal memory or ROM. We hope that will really come up soon as 8 GB ROM. More questions came in our mind like if it has auto-focus and BSI sensor for either one or 2 of the cameras, the battery and the size of sim card slots and if both has 3g connectivity as well as the USB OTG support. We have a guess that this has Mediatek 6592 1.7 Ghz octacore chipset inside.

Unfortunately, no info on the price and release date that was posted on their latest FB page status post. Based on the specs, we hope that it will be lower than the most affordable octa core Android phone so far which is the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Z2 priced at P12,990
