Earlier this morning, Gionee Philippines launched their newest addition to their Elife series named the Gionee Elife E7

Specs:

Amigo 2.0 (based on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean)
Quadband 2g, Dual band 3g HSPA+
Single micro sim card slot
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.2 Ghz quad-core processor
16 MP AF rear camera with flash, 8 MP AF front camera
32 GB ROM, 3 GB RAM
Bluetooth 4.0
FM Radio
NFC
WiFi b/g/n
USB-OTG support
2500 mah

Gionee Philippines that they currently have the 3g-capable model so far as the LTE version will be up for grabs soon. The demo unit that you see in our pics is having the 32 GB ROM and 3 GB RAM.

The UI is quite unique to us. One, you have to swipe upward to unlock the screen. On pressing and holding the home button, the running apps are in horizontal mode. The unit also has 2 camera apps, the stock camera and the Charm Cam.

We like the UI of the stock cam as there are capacitive turn dials  that you can customize. We also like one of the camera features which is the sport option which it helps when your subject is a moving object. On the pic, we took a picture of a very fast moving empty water bottle in wave motion. Based on our pic, our subject is very clear. We were not sure yet if it has optical image stabilization but this feature helps especially when you’re in a rock concert. You want to take a pic of your favorite band vocalist but he/she is moving constantly.

On our Antutu benchmark,  Gionee Elife E7 got a score of 33965 which was impressive as the true power of Snapdragon 800 processor showed up.

The package consists of the phone, 1 ampere USB  charger, micro USB to USB cable, 3 NFC tags, warranty and instruction manual, USB OTG cable, screen protector, earphones, universal stand and a back protective case

Here is our sample rear camera shot, we used the stock camera app, normal settings and using the full 16 MP

And here's the sample front camera shot using the stock camera app, normal settings and at 8MP

The 3g version of this device costs P24,500. The price of LTE model will be available soon
