My first time to try Manila Beer

I heard on the relaunch of Manila Beer just few days before its premiere last June 24 at the Rajah Sulayman park. Good choice that I don't need to go to Manila just to enjoy the party and the beer so I went in their other relaunch party the following day.

Even though I didn't get my welcome drink (a free paper tumbler full of Manila Beer), it's ok to me to buy it at P39 per tumbler. I tried the Manila light coz I have some activities in the following day. The Manila Light (in green label) has 5% ABV while it's other variant (in red label) has 7% ABV.

What's cool for me is it's bottle (thanks to one of the crews in the booth that I bought) . I had a chance to inspect the bottle and read the label. Oh, it is just like the bottle of a normal soft drink bottle. The taste: thumbs up. I also enjoyed the performance from Hilera which there's a time that I had a "rock and roll sa ulan" moment.

I'm excited to see this in nearby convenience stores and even sari-sari stores. I'm expecting that this will be cheaper than the competitors
Finally: At the New Brewrats Booth

Finally: At the New Brewrats Booth

Yes, it's unnoticeable (except if you're updated in my tweets). Last June 16, I was in the Brewrats to put my my 1st-ever successful visit in their new office after that 1st try. I went there to get a file from DJ Tado. I also chose that date coz it's DJ Angel's birthday so I might hear a live phone patch from her but she didn't call.

I was there as early as 6:55pm and DJ Ramon's already there. Unlike my first visit, there's no "pakiramdaman" mode and DJ Ramon just greeted me as I enter. Honestly, I'm expecting less that to the point that's ok to me to stay outside but DJ Ramon just offered me to be inside the booth. Tado also came in minutes before the show started

Here we go, I really enjoyed the view outside including the view in the robotic carpark that they used to talk about. Past 9pm, another pair of brewsters came in just to say "hi" to them.

Well, I wonder on when I gonna be in the Brewrats booth once again

By the way, here's the youtube video of the robotic carpark near their booth

Getting more excited: New Marvel vs Capcom 3 trailer

Getting more excited: New Marvel vs Capcom 3 trailer

As I got the tweet from Ustream that there's gonna be a live coverage of E3 in the said live video streaming website, I remembered that they might gonna unleash a new teaser or trailer for the Marvel vs Capcom 3 (I'm waiting for this in years!) and here it is with a definite logo for the game. Watch!

Me @ RJUR HQ

Me @ RJUR HQ

Last Thursday, I had a chance to visit the Roborock Radio Show at the RJUR booth to claim my GC. I arrived there mins. before 10pm. Good thing, I had LC of Reklamo’s pentel pen (who’s 1 of the hosts there) which gave me a chance to put my name on the RJUR wall together w/ the best local indie & mainstream bands who did the same thing (coolness!). Show proper: As expected, another host of the show Stanley Chi greeted me on-air which really caught one of fellow brewsters’ attention that he/she texted me. Sad that I can’t grant his/her request to greet him/her.

My thumbs up to RJUR crew for this warm welcome everytime I had an appointment to visit and also my thanks to all of the Roborock Radio Show DJs.

Me @ Nokia IAC gig at Alabang Town Center

After my "must-dos" in that particular day last Friday, I chilled out in Alabang Town Center to catch my 2nd overall Nokia IAC gig (my first was wy back late 2008 in Saguijo). It was a gig to watch coz ILL-J (my first spotlight artist for my blog), US-2 Evil-0, Techy Romantics, December Avenue, The Ambassadors, Salamin and Kjwan we're there to perform. It was quite a special gig coz it was the first time in their barrage of gigs to have a full band set-up. Russ Davis opened the pre-gig show and Francis Reyes of NU did the hosting jobs for the main event. I really like the ambience of the mall (even though I'm already in this place for a lot of times) as I saw some "south-based" celebs. I even saw Lalay of Urbandub and Francis Reyes spotted DJ Patti of Shakedown on U92 fm in a coffee shop near the stage. Overall, that really jumpstarted my weekend. Enjoy these videos from this said event

Me @ Microsoft Office 2010 Tayo event

Last Thursday, I attended my 2nd Microsoft-based event in their HQ In Makati to witness the Office 10 introduction particularly in their collaboration tools known as cloud computing

I signed up in the Office 2010 Tayo Facebook on the spot to get my freebie

Quite amazed that when this one executive from Mircosoft Philippines greeted me, there is one particular word that she brought some memory about me (which I served this for the 1st 9 months of this blog), of course, The Brewrats

Mr. Tim Vergel de Dios of MS explained to us on what to expect on Microsoft Cloud Story

Sir Jayvee and Johnny (also of MS) showed us on how to use Bing. I was amazed specially when they showed us on how to use Bing Maps. It's like that you do't have to be in that particular country coz you may now see the actual streets

Patsy Ferrer and Chester Coronel had a demo on Word 2010 mostly on using the program for blog posting

They also had a group contest on using Powerpoint 2010 and the winners got some GCs

They also had a raffle which the grand prize was an HTC phone (Too bad that I still didn't win my first major prize in a blogging event)

Not to forget the food, drinks and beer in the event. That was already my dinner for that night as I also listening to the Brewrats and Robo Rock Radio Show at the same time\

Overall, that was another great blogging event. I'll try to grab some pics later
Thank God (the true) Marvel vs Capcom 3 is approaching (and back)

Thank God (the true) Marvel vs Capcom 3 is approaching (and back)

It's been a long time ago since I played one my favorite arcade games entitled Marvel vs Capcom which is first of its kind because it has a whopping 56 characters to choose from and the arcade stage itself is on 3D. As the years passed by, gamers like me are waiting for the next possible installment. It may be delayed for some years because of some issues and reasons until I got a news that somewhere in May that Capcom, the game developer behind this great fighting game series will unleash something. As I about to publish this blog post, I got a news from my fellow MvC2 gamers that there's a new Marvel vs Capcom 3 teaser video (yes, this is not a April Fools Joke) as I already posted the youtube video on my blog. This is something to celebrate

Me @ PInoy Blogfest 1.0

Just came from a 5-hour sleep when I got there 8:30am for the Pinoy Blogfest 1.0 headed by Gadgets Magazine. From the start, I already had a blast from the seminars/forums led by Mr. Abe Olandres, Mr. Ira Panganiban ang Ma'am Yvonne of Vera Files. Quite a moment that when Mr. Ira asked (us) the audience on which of us already had an experience on that old school web browser named Netscape and I raised my hand, he was surprised. (For those newbies on the net, I still had a chance to use that web browser way back in 1998) What's more when my eagerness went up and I participated in an open forum after their own individual discussions. Damn, I was like a celeb that time coz of the many snapshots that I got either in photo or on video mode. Good thing that I also met a new set of bloggers

After that, lunch time! I already had a feast of knowledge and expect more from the food by the venue partner, Richmonde Hotel in Ortigas Center. It was my first time after a long time to be in a hotel once again. From the foods (sorry, I can't remember the exact names of the food in the buffet table) Sauteed Chayote, Carrots and Pork, Thai Chicken in Pandan Leaves, that Fish Fillet in White Cream Sauce, Spaghetti Primavera and a lot more, I am already contended on this event aside from the free flowing tea, coffee and light snacks that I got. In the afternoon, I attended the exhibits of gaming (courtesy of Asus) and the mobile networking (courtesy of LG Mobile Philippines)

Just minutes before night time came in, the organizers prepared a so-called dinner buffet with interesting acts like Feen. Of course, I wished that I may win in the raffle but I was unlucky that time. Nothing to worry about coz I already got some massive gift packs from the sponsors and that extra treat for being an earlybird attendee

Probably, this was one of my "sulit" blogging events that I attended so far. My big thanks to Gadgets Magazine (for the free pass and that April 2010 issue of your mag), to the men and women of Richmonde Hotel (for the great gastronomical experience and that warm hospitality) and a lot of sponsors like Manila Bulletin, Cola-Cola, Asus, LG Mobile and all of those sponsors that I forgot to mention

Pinoy Blogfest 1.0 tomorrow

I'm excited to be a part of this great blogging event. They will showcase on various blogging issues like is there really a blogger's copyright and blogger's code of ethics plus more. This event is headed by Gadgets magazine. You may still try to be in this event by paying the slot for P 2,500. Just call 3324005

Me @ Cobra Starship gig at Alabang Town Center

It was my sked that made me decide not to buy or to try to score tickets (thru U92) to watch the Changing Lives tour featuring Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Jojo. If there's something to smile about, I had a chance to see Cobra Starship in Alabang Town Center. It was already before 6:30pm when the show started and they had around 10 songs including their hit single "Good Girls Go Bad" and my favorite track in the album entitled "Living in the Sky with Diamonds". Good thing that I even had a time to tweet but it was a good set! Nice!
