National University (NU) Bulldogs solidified their dominance over the collegiate Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) scene by capturing the championship title of the MOONTON Student Leaders (MSL) Collegiate Cup (MCC) Season 2, following a commanding 4-1 victory over First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) in the best-of-seven Grand Finals.
The final showdown took place before a lively crowd at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City. With the win, NU Bulldogs claimed the lion’s share of the ₱500,000 prize pool and earned a direct slot in the upcoming MLBB Development League (MDL) Philippines Season 6.The victorious roster included Kirk Clement Dave "KlutZ" Herrero (Gold Lane), Rendell "Ren" Bangsal (EXP Lane), Johann Deondrei Herico "ESTACIO" Estacio (Jungle), Harold James "Xinchi" Blas (Mid Lane), “v” (Roam), and Robby Miguel "SkyFall" Martin (Sixth Man), with Patrick "Dhap" Palacio calling the shots as head coach.
NU’s journey to the championship was a showcase of resilience and growth. After falling to FAITH in the Upper Bracket Finals, NU descended to the Lower Bracket, where they squared off against defending champions PHINMA University of Iloilo (UI). The Bulldogs secured a 3-1 win, propelling them back to the Grand Finals, where they turned the tables on FAITH and claimed redemption along with the title.
Roamer Josh Prince "PACULAN" Paculan delivered a stellar performance throughout the Grand Finals and was rightfully awarded the Grand Finals MVP honors for his game-changing plays in crucial moments.
MCC Season 2 also celebrated individual excellence and fan-favorite talent through its seasonal recognitions. Below is the complete list of awardees:
