It is the Tecno Camon 40 which you can check our unboxing and first impressions video here
On camera, I can say that I had an almost perfect experience on photos than on videos compared to the phone series said that Camon is more focused on camera capabilities. For it's asking price, the photos were very good on color accuracy, easy to zoom (unlike on some phones from a V brand based on my past reviews) and image processing speed either on well lit or challenging low light environments. The front camera is more than enough for social media. The phone can shoot up to 2K 30 fps video but I recommend to use up to FHD 60 fps as it is more than acceptable for high quality video uploaded. One challenge for me though on the video segment was there were some times that it defocusing on environments that it has LED screens. It was a bit of a struggle for me when I covered a Grand Finals of an esports tournament.
Tecno Camon 40 normal to ultra wide camera samples
On the strengths, I love the Tecno Camon 40's display,. overall design, UI, most on the connectivity, photo capabilities of the camera , speakers and battery. On the weaknesses, definitely the lack of 5G for its asking price as there are already of options near or on the same price range and the might-be a miss sometimes on the defocusing of the video that I experienced for a number of times. At the time that I am using this, the price is quite ok as there is another phone with the same SoC at the same SRP but a few days ago, they released the Pova 7 at Php 2,000 to Php 3,000 more affordable plus 1,800 mAh more battery.
For us, Tecno Camon 40 is 3.75 out of 5.
