One remaining gameday til the scheduled 2-week break of MPL Philippines S15 and Week 6 closer had some surprises.
In the first match, many anticipated the series win of TNC especially with a match win away to their first playoffs seat in 3 years but The Minds just literally twisted the storyline.
It finally happened that the Phoenix Army put in four former ECHO players plus Lancecy but TWIS got some plans. It was not the usual numbers of BennyQT both in 2 games as TWIS both got Granger. The Minds got a 2-0 series win and an important 2 points to have a slight edge at the bottom standings over AP Bren and Smart Omega.
From the post match media interview, Coach Bon Chan said coz of the win earlier, it gave less pressure for them going to Week 7 coming in 2 weeks to face OMG and APBR. The Minds got spoiled of TNC's playoffs entry but not for long.
In another "on the line" match, Team Liquid PH just repeated their dominant performance against Smart Omega including a 1000+ GPM on Game 1 MVP on Oheb and the other half of Babycakes duo Karltzy as Game 2 MVP with 6/2/12 using Joy.
TLPH got their 10th series win in 11 matches and moving closer to one of two upper bracket slots. Their win also became beneficial to TNC which will be seeing in upcoming playoffs.
In the post match media interview, Oheb said that TWIS will be the last team to complete the S15 playoffs cast as he's seeing that the team is having that power spike in the late stages of the regular season. That scenario is familiar on his former team in Blacklist in their Season 14 run.
MPL Philippines S15 returns in April 25 to give way for SPS Mobile Masters and Lenten Season.
