A triple header scheduled for Week 6 Day 2 of MPL Philippines S15 but it was not much of a long day as all of the matches went down to 2-0 series wins.
First off on TNC vs Smart Omega as the Phoenix got a dominating series against the barangay even with the sudden comeback of Ch4knu in the roam which tried to put in Baxia in his hands but never got that good numbers. The return of the mamba somehow surprised a bit on the team when they said in the media hub. BennyQT got the Game 2 MVP with 10/0/3. The team is only one series win to finally get a playoffs seat which their last one was way back in Season 9 with the franchise-best finish so far at third place.
Next was the rematch of Middle East based squads between Team Falcons and Twisted Minds. Like what happened in round 1, the Green Falcons did a quick work on The Minds with Kyletzy's Game 2 MVP performance on Suyou with 3/1/6. In time that the team had to rush for a flight later for their SPS Mobile Masters tourney this Monday in Indonesia. The team expressed that so far that they're not yet in their form to compete for a high-caliber event like MSc as well for a payback win against TLPH
Speaking of TLPH, the cavalry did the same thing versus AP Bren. Leading the charge was Sanford's Game 2 MVP performance of his Badang awith 1/1/12 KDA.
With two-week season break is happening in a few days coz of the SPS Mobile Masters and Holy Week, it was one of the main topics in the post match media interviews. Teams that are catching up in the playoffs seat like OMG, APBR and TWIS were on the same boat to still grind to that one last possible shot. On TNC, Coach Imbadeejay said that the team is yet to decide on that while Yawi has other plans to go to Japan on Lenten Season with his family. On the cavalry, Oheb and Karltzy chose to stay at their bootcamp as they only had a couple of days of break while on Sanford, he can afford to go back to his province for a few rest and go back to work.
