A pair of matches remained earlier to close out Week 4 of MPL Philippines. Both have some shocker moments.
First off, the clash between Aurora MLBB and Team Falcons. The said week as a mixed bag of a result for the team coming from a 2-1 close finish versus AP Bren. Game 1 was dominated most of the time by the northern lights led by Renejay's 2/1/16 of Badang. Game 2 was an unexpected quick win for RORA as Domengkite's Moskov got a chance for a split push while there was a lord dance at the 9:36 mark to seal the deal. The next standard got the Game 2 MVP badge with 1/0/1 at 8-3 team kill score
From the post match media interviews, I took chance to ask Coach MTB especially that it was a first win in S15 with Barats of Edward as he said as last-second decision in tandem with Renejay's Franco - the last time that he used it was way back in S9 in his NXPE days. Meanwhile, it was a dare for Renejay to use Badang even it was nerfed but their prized roamer believed that it will work.
In the first match, Onic PH almost got a 0-2 series as Twisted Minds got a dominating Game 1 win and at the first 10 minutes of Game 2. It was so bad for the sonics that they're at 0-4 disadvantage and without any objectives taken. Kelra got the chance to flip the switch with a maniac of his Karrie, his first time to use the said hero in the season. Game 2 MVP went to him at 10/1/2 and it followed on Game 3 with 7/0/4 using Harith.
From the post match media interviews, Coach Bon Chan was happy that he saw that Estes and Ube variant in Aurora's win yesterday. When I asked (and for sure some fans too anticipated for it) that why TWIS did not play with the said healing hero, Bon Chan jokingly said if MPTheKing will finally get into a tank jungler.. On Onic PH's side, it was not champion mentality when I asked the players inside their minds on their switch in Game 2 as Brusko said that it was a desperation move to salvage the game and so on in the series.
Week 5 of MPL Philippines S15 will continue this March 28 to 30 as it will be the start of second half of the season.
