It was a quick night for Day 1 of MPL Philippines S15 Week 5 on matches between Aurora and Twisted Minds plus TNC and Onic Philippines
Like what happened in their round 1, RORA got a short 2-0 series win over Twisted Minds who fielded Nadjizy's cousiin Jamal for the first time in the gold lane. In a surprise, Renejay got the new hero Kalea in Game 1 when he got the chance for the first pick. Domengkite was superb in both games with his Granger as he scored Game 1 MVP while their prized roamer got the Game 2 MVP badge with that familiar Franco at 1/1/9 that we saw last Sunday vs FLCN.
In the post match media interviews, Jamal said that he could have been better in his first MPL PH S15 match while in the side of Coach MTB, he imagined the match as like a chess as he cannot figure out first the gameplan of his former fellow coach in BLCK Coach Bon Chan.
In the second match, Onic PH extended their winning streak to four in their rematch versus TNC now with BennyQT. Their headliner gold laner finally got his first savage as part of the Phoenix Army in Game 2 using Granger but the Sonics just ignored the last lord and pursued for a late game push to the enemy's tower also to score a 2-0 series win.
From the post match interviews, some might wonder on Hanzo and Zhask picks of TNC as Coach Imbadeejay chose those picks based in their recent international scrims. On Onic's side, K1ngkong went back to his black hair as he was told by some people that this red hair was unlucky.
Triple header Saturday is set for MPL Philippines S15 Week 5 Day 2 starting at 2:30 pm. One of the winning streaks will end between Onic and Aurora plus the possibility that RORA will be playoffs secured if they will score their 9th straight win in the said tourney.
