Multiverse Gamer’s Cup Launched to Elevate Amateur ML Talent

Building on its mission to champion grassroots Filipino communities, Multiverse PH has officially launched the Multiverse Gamer’s Cup, an online amateur tournament bringing together the nation’s best amateur Mobile Legends players.

Open to all Filipino players aged 14 and above, this is the perfect platform for budding Mobile Legends enthusiasts to showcase their prowess.

This tournament is hosted by Multiverse PH, a new publication under The Philippine Star covering grassroots Filipino communities and the technologies they champion. “Our primary goal with Multiverse PH is to showcase the incredible talent we have in the Philippines,” said Multiverse PH publisher Santiago Arnaiz. “As Filipinos, innovation and community building are in our DNA. At every frontline of every new movement, whether it be in gaming, Web3, or the creative fields, there are always organic groups of Filipinos leading the charge. So in championing the vibrant local gaming space, we wanted to start by showcasing amateur talents.”

Multiverse Gamer's Cup is presented by GCash, a leading enabler in Philippine esports, leveraging the latest in fintech innovations to help gamers live out their passions.

Beyond the competitive spirit and the enticing prize pool, the Multiverse Gamer's Cup aims to foster camaraderie, skill development, and a sense of community among players. The tournament will be divided into four legs between September 16 and October 28, with playoffs slated for November 4. Php 5,000 is up for grabs for each leg's winner and an exciting Php 50,000 prize pool for the playoffs of this amateur tournament

Supercharging the tournament as a major sponsor is mobile gaming staple HONOR Philippines. Also supporting is GosuBattles, powered by the esports media giant GosuGamers, as the official tournament platform. With a mission to uplift gaming communities globally, GosuBattle provides a seamless tournament management experience through their proprietary toolkit. And orchestrating the entire event is Fulcrum Esports, ensuring everything goes off without a hitch

“This tournament is only the beginning of a long-term commitment we’re making at Multiverse PH to chronicle the continued growth of our amazing gaming communities,” Arnaiz said. “Through this celebration of skill, strategy, and passion, amateur players get a golden opportunity to shine, learn, and climb the ranks of the Mobile Legends community.
