Mislatel Declared As Third Telco in PH

After months of waiting and some checking, Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) finally brought on who's gonna be the official third telco in the country

From their social media post yesterday, they declared MISLATEL will be the new major player in the telco industry which is a consortium comprised of Udenna Corp., Chelsea Holdings and China Telecom

From a statement from DICT Acting Secretary Eliseo M. Rio "As we reached the end of the tunnel of this new major player search, the ball is now on Mislatel's court to deliver on their promise. One of the best ways Mislatel can comply with it's commitments is to use all existing facilities and services of the other small players. The new major player will spur business for small telcos and last mile links like CATV operators."

Mislatel has 3 months to to send the required documens including the roll out plan. The consortium promised to deliver 27 Mbps of average broadband speed on it's first year and 55 Mbps for the next four years
