OPPO Philippines has made their official second F5 smartphone in the country and (for sure) the most afffordable in the bunch
OPPO F5 Youth had a formal introduction later at the official opening of their 160th branch in the country at SM Megamall. The color variants are black and gold
Front: 6 inch FHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 16 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, on-screen Android control buttons which you can disable and control thru gestures which you will find out later
Back: 13 MP AF main cam with flash and f/2.2 aperture, rear fingerprint sensor, OPPO branding (where are the antenna lines?) According to one of OPPO PH execs, it's the paint job that made the antenna lines invisible. Let's see if this will not affect in the connectivity department once we had a chance for a review.
Internals: 2.5 GHz Mediatek MT6763 octa-core processsor, Color OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, OTG support, 3,200 mAh battery
The left side has volume buttons while on the right, you can check true dual nano SIM and micro SD in one tray plus the power button
This one sets apart from the F5 as it does not have a noise-cancelling mic at the top while still the same output placements like the single speaker, OTG-capable micro USB port and 3.5 mm. audio jack. There is still a little camera bump which good thing on it's official retail box, you can get a protective case, earphones, USB to micro USB cable and 5V 2A travel charger
Good to know that OPPO F5 Youth still has the face unlock and AI beauty feature. With F5 Youth, you can now disable the standard Android on-screen controls and replace with swipe controls. From the bottom part of the display, swipe at the lower left corner for the control center and lower right corner for the back button (or do it vice versa)
