iPhone 8 specs come in 4.7 inch display, 12 MP main camera with OIS, flash can do 4K 60 fps video capture and Full HD in 240 fps, augmented reality support, Bluetooth 5.0, fast-charge capability, LTE-A Comes in 32, 64 and 256 GB and it starts at US$699
Meanwhile, iPhone 8 Plus specs include a dual 12 MP main camera system (wide angle has f/1.8, telephoto has f/2.8) plus flash, 5.5 inch display. It comes in 64 and 256 GB storage options.
Both of them have silver, space gray and gold colors plus A11 Bionic processor which is a hexa-core Soc composed of 2 high-performance cores and 4 power efficient cores plus a new camera UI which can customize your portrait mode pics. Both also have glass back which supports wireless charging based on Qi wireless charging standard

The question in unlocking, just tap the phone and swipe up or thru Face ID which is their own version of Face Recognition feature. It works with the help of infrared camera, dot protector and front camera and they promised it will not work against those photograph pic tricks.
