From a high midrange to their high-end device, this is Asus Philippines' bet in the smartphone space.
Here's the new Asus Zenfone 4 Pro.
Back: Dual 12 (f1.7 and PDAF) + 16 MP (PDAF, AF, OIS, 2x optical and 10x digital zoom) main cameras with dual tone, dual LED flash, Asus branding
Front: 8 MP secondary camera with f/1.9 aperture, 5.5 inch AMOLED Full HD display with Gorilla Glass 5, fingerprint reader
Internals: Qualcom Snapdragon 835 processor, ZenUI 4.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat, 6 GB RAM, 64/128 GB ROM, LTE with Band 28 support, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3,600 mAh built-in battery
The whole body is almost covered by glass which can be comparable for the S8 minus the dual edge displays. Like in other flagship phones, the shiny back is quite a trick to do a rear-fie but it is very prone to fingerprint smudges.
Same placements on the sides of the Zenfone 4 here on the Pro version. Hybrid dual nano SIM slot (SIM 2 can be used as micro SD slot up to 2 TB) and power/unlock button and volume rocker at the right section.
The advantage of the pro variant is having dual noise cancelling microphones at the top while same same as at the bottom with 3.5 mm. audio jack, USB Type C and speaker
Expect that the ZenUI of the Zenfone 4 is also here in ZF4 Pro. Meanwhile, a glimpse of it's pro mode.
More camera samples as the Pro has the capabilities of Zenfone 3 Zoom which has 2x optical zoom and not bad of up to 10x zoom. It can also do some portrait selfies and adding it to the mix of having very quick image processing time on HDR Auto mode which I chose to showcase on these pics below.

Asus Zenfone 4 Pro is almost perfect in almost all the tasks that I threw in the demo area (plus it did bit better portrait selfie compared to the Zenfone 4) but the Php 39,995 asking price is another not-so-good pricing mainly that it does not have IP68 certification, bit smaller and not Quad HD display unlike on other options from those Korean brands. The 6 GB RAM though might be a shining light for those who prioritize multi-tasking
