Asus Zenfone 4 First Look, Camera Samples, Reason to Bring In Only One Variant

The next (regular) follow up to the Zenfone 3 just brought yesterday but the processor seems not so regular to me as it is the country's first one.
Meet the Asus Zenfone 4. For the Philippine market, Asus Philippines chose to bring in the one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor instead of either bringing in 2 variants or the one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 mainly to simplify their line-up. Of course, this one has band 28 LTE support

Here's the back and front views as well as the rest of the specs

Back: Dual 12 + 8 MP main camera shooters AF and dual tone, dual LED flash, ASUS branding, non removable cover
Front: 8 MP front cam, 5.5 inch AMOLED Full HD display, fingerprint reader
Internals: Zen UI 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, 6 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM, LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3,300 mAh built-in battery

Hybrid dual nano SIM (SIM 2 can be used as micro SD slot up to 256 GB) at the left while at the right, volume rocker and power/unlock button. It has rounded edges and metal build which really has premium build.

The top has noise cancelling mic and antenna lines while at the bottom, more antenna lines, 3.5 mm. audio jack, USB Type C and speaker. Unfortunately for some restrictions, I was not able to check if it has OTG support.

The camera UI has the same as the other Zenfone 4 devices that you will gonna see in other articles to come but I like on this is the simpler navigation from changing it from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratio, normal to wide angle, the flash functions and as well as changing from auto to pro mode.  Speaking of pro mode, it has extensive range of max 1SO 3200 and shutter speed of up to 32 seconds

What sets apart of Zenfone 4 against the Zenfone 4 Pro is the wide angle (maybe for some hardware and processor limitations which created realistic look this time compared to Zenfone 4 Max which looks they only made from a 16:9 aspect ratio picture. The normal shot has f/1.8 aperture while the wide angle cam sample will give you at f/2.2 aperture which is not bad at all

Asus Zenfone 4 is priced in the Philippines for Php 28,995 which is a bit steep mainly for less than Php 1,000, you will gonna get a much powerful processor plus bigger and better display thru the LG G6. I hope the people from Asus PH will reconsider the pricing soon
