If there's a Barcelona then there's also a Shanghai version of MWC 2017 and Vivo has put up another milestone in the smartphone technology
As revealed in their international social media page is their Under Display Fingerprint Scanning Solution which says goodbye to that home button as you can now unlock the phone from the display itself. Based on the video, it is based on Qualcomm Fingerprint Solutions (which a hint that their first phone with this feature will have a Qualcomm SoC) and the fingerprint was scanned in the center at the bottom part of the display.
It has piezoelectric effects used to produce and receive ultrasonic signals and it pass thru the OLED screen (another hint for their next smartphone model)
There is no timeline yet on when they will have it officially for commercial release. Before the end of the video, they also revealed that they have a phone a dual rear camera system but as a note, it is on the prototype stages.
