It had a delay yesterday but at least, Cloudfone is still on time to launch a new device in relation to the ongoing NBA All-Star Weekend

In their presentation earlier in Bonifacio High Street, they announced the Cloudfone NBA Edition smartphone which is the first in Southeast Asia to have an Android phone with partnership with the NBA.

The specs that include Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Mediatek MT6737 64-bit quad-core processor, 5.5 inch HD display with Gorilla Glass, 13 MP main camera with flash, 5 MP with front cam, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, LTE, dual micro SIM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, micro USB port, fingerprint readrr and 4,000 mAh battery
Cloudfone NBA Edition will be available this 2nd quarter of the year. In their event earlier, Cloudfone officials mentioned that it will be partnered with Globe and it includes an NBA League Pass although they did not mentioned it yet
Here's the first impressions part
The front and back views of Cloudfone NBA Edition. The back is removable and it reminds me a bit of their Thrill Access phone

Nothing at the left as you can locate the volume rocker and power/unlock button at the right section

The top has the usual placing of 3.5 mm. audio jack and micro USB port at the bottom
Here is also a look of their TPU case with an NBA theme

The view underneath with dual micro SIM and micro SD plus the built in battery. Hooray for USB OTG support and it has 5 point multi touch
On the benchmark side. It revealed the processor and the 7 available sensors including gyro. Here is also a glimpse of app drawer with some NBA related apps

Here are the looks of phone and messaging apps

The camera UI is familiar with what is on the Cloudfone Next especially on controls and modes. The back cam has f/2.2 aperture and f/2.8 aperture at the front. The image processing speed is a-ok.

2016 was the year of Cloudfone Excite Prime on the budget. This might be another good budget phablet soon from Cloudfone
Update: Another clarification that we got from a Cloudfone official that the Php 5xxx price that we saw in the area is not yet final so we had to wait for the official one
