There was no signs of any of the 16 new MyPhone devices/demo units from their recent media launch. Good thing, I knew one of the people who has one of those devices so here we are - my hands-on of MyPhone My72 DTV.
Front: 5 inch FWVGA display, 2 MP front camera
Back: 5 MP rear camera with flash, MyPhone logo, removable back cover with more visible textile-like design
Internals: Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB ROM, dual micro SIM, micro SD slot, 2,000 mAh removable battery.
No surprise on the volume rocker and power/unlock button placements at the right hand side.
The 3.5 mm. audio jack and micro USB port (no OTG support) at the top and the single speaker and pin hole microphone at the bottom.
They have a brand new wallpaper in this device with that Pinoy flavor plus the view when you removable it's back cover.
When I looked at the storage area, you will only have 1.33 GB out of 4 GB ROM remaining for putting in those additional apps which some of the pre-loaded apps were already removed. The system UI tuner can also be unlocked.
The mystery for me is the exact processor inside as CPU-Z, Antutu and AIDA64 can't detect it but a hint at CPU-Z said that it has some relation to C168. The phone did not allow me to check it's score. The phone has light, proximity and accelerometer sensors.
Here are the rear and front camera samples of MyPhone My72 DTV. As expected, it is only good for social media use. These pics were taken inside Green Sun Hotel.

Due to limited time, I was not able to verify if it has Full Seg digital TV support. It will be a good match-up against their very own MyPhone My82 DTV at the same price at Php 2,299. In terms of build quality, My72 DTV has the edge for me.
Thanks to Youtuber David Ferro as he allowed me to check his own MyPhone My72 DTV
