Infinix Hot S First Look, Benchmarks, Camera Samples

This is the middle ground in terms of pricing of the three new Infinix smartphones that were introduced to me and select tech media yesterday. This was my take on Infinix Hot S.

Front: 5.2 inch IPS Full HD display, 8 MP selfie camera with LED flash
Back: 13 MP PDAF main camera with dual LED flash, fingerprint reader, Infinix logo, non-removable back cover
Internals: 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor, XOS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, hybrid dual SIM (SIM 2 can be used as micro SD slot), 3 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, 3,000 mAh built-in battery.

At the left, you can see the hybrid dual SIM tray. The right side has volume rocker and power/unlock button. The sides are kinda beautiful at first glance.

The thinner profile of Hot S is more evident here compared to two of their latest releases. 3.5 mm. audio jack at the top, speaker grill, pin hole mic and OTG capable micro USB port at the bottom.

Like in Infinix Note 3 Pro, it also has the MT6753 8-core SoC. It has 5 point multi touch and scored over 34,000 on Antutu.

Same with IN3 Pro was the aperture of the main and secondary cameras at f/2.2 and f/2.4 aperture respectively. The image processing speed was also fast but I noticed that you need a bit more careful and some time to have a steady shot. The green pathway has less details. I chose not to use the front flash for now for my selfie sample. Good thing that both shooters can do at 16:9 aspect ratio.

Infinix Hot S is a welcome addition to the Infinix Philippines family of smartphones for those people who are not into the phablet size category but still enough battery capacity and has good looks like the Infinix Note 3 Pro. The Php 6,990 price tag can be a contender against it's internationl counterparts. It is exclusively on sale via Lazada Philippines thru this link
