I discovered this particular food place when they followed me on Instagram. At first, it's kinda weird that my IG feed was heavy on tech. Maybe at least one of the admins there loves tech too so that's the main thing when I dropped by for the second time at BF Resort Las Pinas to check Cholate Bar.
It was a Halloween afternoon when I dropped by for some heavy snack and my daily dose for caffeine and to do some blog posts on the side. Just a lil warning that Globe LTE was not that friendly at the area (maybe Smart)
The area has around 25-30 square meters and it was easy to check in as I only walked from Casmiro area of Alabang Zapote Road and go to Gloria Diaz Street (you can also see them easily via Grab, Uber or Google Maps in case you need it)
My challenge to them was the absence of Frappe in their menu. I need a cold drink with some coffee it in but one of their milkshakes was the answer - RA's Chocolate Chaos which is their chocolate esperesso milkshake priced at Php 160. As I need a heavy, curiosity ran wild on their Sisig Lumpiasilog at Php 130. I also ordered extra rice for Php 15 and water for free to flush some of the milkshake inside. Their tisay owner(?) was the one who entertained me that time.
No surprise with their Harry Pottter and their own card game, I encountered some teens during my visit, some with their laptops on.
It was a bit of surprise for me that their sisig lumpia was like a typical size of lumpiang prito. I saw once in Zomato but with a size of a typical lumpiang shanghai. They have a cane vinegar on the side. I tried both in the wrapper and only the filling and it was good.
Thumbs up that their milkshakes in the traditional glass that I usually saw in American counterparts. Here, it reminds me of the typical halo-halo glass which I already had an idea on the contents. The amount of chocalate ice cream with some espresso has on the right and balanced side. It really made me awake and filled me up in a number of hours.
The damage on my pocket was Php 305 but it was worth. I might gonna go back soon mainly of their particular food line that it was not present in some non-mainstream that I checked in San Pedro, Muntinlupa and Las Pinas based counterparts - mugcakes. I also felt a lil homey feel which is a plus. Befor I left I introduced myself to her and that was my own dose of surprise to her. I will gonna score it at 4 out of 5.
Cholate Bar is located at 41 AEC Building, Gloria Diaz St., BF Resort Village, Las Pinas City. They are open on weekdays from 12 noon to 10pm and 7 am to 11 pm on weekends (based on their FB page which is at fb.me/cholatebarph Quite weird that you have to look to them via Zomato for some of their menu esp. the list of milkshakes and their site at cholatebar.wordpress.com for the rest of their menu)
