Christmas season is always a great time for everybody. For me who's more as a tech blogger, it is the perfect chance for me to get the still must-haves that are possibly lower than the original SRP or those new products that also can be interesting to my readers.
There are four on my Christmas wish list. First, the country's first Android/Windows tablet in one with micro HDMI - the CloudPad Epic 8.9. Convenience for me that I don't need to bring 2 devices from 2 different operating systems for live blogging in between events. While I am still finishing my review of this device soon, I want to have this useful tech slab from the makers of Cloudfone
I'm on a 2-smartphone set-up for years mainly for no downtime for commmunication means and blogging purposes. While the first phone is charging via the outlet or powerbank, I can use the other phone for the same purpose. The first of the 2 new Android handsets that I'm targetting is the MyPhone MY35 which will be out in the few days coz it is the first local Android phone with HiFi sound, a reliable MT6753 octa-core processor and huge 3,140 mAh battery out of 5 inch display plus hot swappable SIM cards and micro SD which I am hunting everytime.
The 2nd smartphone will is also a soon-to-be-released one, the Cherry Mobile Flare S Play. Others are not fans of smartphones with analog TV but not for me. Level up time for the brand as it is their first release with Digital TV so no more distortions when I gonna watch NBA, PBA or UAAP while on the go which I always experiencing when watching via an analog mobile TV. Good thing that it has good specs and LTE
My number of event coverages grew year after year so I need some extra wardrobe to fit on my personality and this will be those shirts and shoes from Macbeth. I became more excited when the known person related to the brand (who's known in Blink 182 and Angels and Airwaves ) Tom Delonge uploaded a 25-second Youtube video with PH-inspired Macbeth shirt. Woah! I want that shirt, too!
The gift ideas for my loved ones? These were easy to me. For my parents, I accepted the fact that they might not gonna join the growing smartphone market so the feature phones will be their thing and mostly, they used to call more than sending those SMS. I knew the fact that calling consumes a lot of battery so I'll gonna give each of this MyPhone MY112 with 6,000 mAh battery. Bonus that it has big keypads and flashlight and that emergency SOS features.
And for my siblings who's in and out of town, they deserve to have an extra power and a better powerbank so an Asus ZenPower 10,050 mAh powerbank for sure will give some smile onto their faces (and their smartphones, too!)
I am lucky that one of my relatives is a teacher in a public school so there's a possibility that they may have less chances to acquire those things that they may want to. Since last year, that was my perfect venue to share or "giving it back" of my blessings that I got from a number of coverages from tumblers, shirts, ballpens, notepads and I even gave away a powerbank and for sure, it will happen again (as I'm checking my sort-of inventory) in their next Christmas Party.
Aside from my own idea of giving back to others, SM Supermalls gives us another great option thru their ongoing campaign entitled SM Christmas Bears of Joy. Imagine for only Php 200 (you'll only need to add a few pesos and skip one day of your usual budget in a known coffee shop), you can get one bear to yourself and donate the other one to children from various institutions and orphanages around the nation via the SM Cares program.
