Sony Xperia Z5 Compact hands-on, camera sample

A smartphone launch event is not complete for me without those hands-on on the device so here's what I got on the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact

The front view has 4.6 inch IPS HD display, 5 MP front camera and Sony logo. The back has 23 MP rear camera with flash and Sony logo. No compromises for this one as it has flagship Snapdragon 810, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM and 2,700 mAh non-removable battery

Top: 3.5 mm. audio jack and noise cancelling mic; Bottom: micro USB port and pin hole mic

Left side: Xperia logo, flap which contains single nano SIM tray and micro SD tray support up to 200 GB and slot for lanyard; Right side: power/unlock button that also doubles as a finger print sensor, volume rocker and physical shutter button.

The whole Sony Xperia Z5 series has the same Xperia UI so I'll gonna mix it in in all of the 3 devices. For this blog post, I had the camera UI. Unlike on the Xperia M5 and Xperia C5 Ultra, the advertised MP in both cameras can now be utilized even on auto so expect that my following camera samples will be on that mode. A bit of a downer for me that it is on 4:3 aspect ratio

And the camera sample:

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact 23 MP rear camera sample

Based on my hands-on, I got more delighted by the Z5 Compact even that I already enjoyed the Z3 Compact coz the latest Xperia UI right now is more like a typical stock Android Lollipop. I also tried thier 4K video upscaling when I transferred a Full HD video and it works like magic. The beautiful craftsmanship on the Xperia line is still there at the said device.

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is now available in Sony stores and known dealers for Php 29,990 (cash)
