A few weeks after it became available in Lazada Philippines, I got a chance for a hands-on of Meizu's budget yet powerful phablet, the Meizu M2 Note
The front has 5 MP AF front camera with 5.5 inch IPS Full HD IGZO display. At the back (which reminds me of the MX4 and MX4 Pro) has the 13 MP AF rear camera with dual LED flash and f/2.2 aperture and Meizu logo. It has a metallic, matte finish but for it's SRP for sure that it is made from plastic. What's inside is the country's first Mediatek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz.
The left has the volume rocker and power/unlock key. The right side has the single optional dual nano SIM. For those who are new to this blog, I said it's optional coz SIM 2 can also be used as a micro SD slot.
The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack and noise-cancelling mic while at the bottom, you can see the pin hole mic, micro USB port and single speaker.
A glimpse of the Flyme 4.5 OS on top of Android Lollipop OS. What is missing at the pulldown menu is the settings which means you have no choice to put in your settings app on the main page for easier navigation like in this set-up.
The photo and video settings are in one place inside the camera. The rear cam can shoot 13 MP in 16:9 aspect ratio (a plus for me). Video can shoot at max of 1080p. Out of 16 GB ROM, you can have 10.8 GB for app storage.
And the camera samples which are all in auto mode:

Credits first to Mark Marcelo of filipinotechaddict.net for the time and a chance to check his own Meizu M2 Note.
First impressions: The M2 Note is almost as light as the M1 Note. One hand navigation is possible for this device. When I checked his Antutu score which is over 31,000 which is near for what Android Authority had in their video review. Based on the score, I want to check it versus the Mediatek MT6732 which around that score. The camera samples are a-ok but I got some struggle on the lighting at the area. Mark said on his experience that he had difficulty on signing up for his games on Google Play which I hope Novo 7 Tech will fix it soon. With his previous IG post of Smart LTE Speedtest sample and my actual test using Globe LTE on this device, safe to say that it is friendly on 2 available LTE networks here.
