According to their study, 1 out of 10 Filipinos have Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM). The difference of it versus Type 1 Diabetes are characterized by insufficient insulin production and/or inability to respond its effects.
Dr. Roberto Mirasol gave us on the T2DM on a global scale. So far, Asians are more prone to this medical problem compared to Caucasians mainly of the carbo-based diet. Inactivity was another main cause.

She also explained the benefits of Astra Zeneca's revolutionary product Dapaggliflozin which was approved by the FDA last Feburary 2014 and recognized by 40 countries globally. The product can be taken once daily with the patient's regular ant-diabetes drugs. It is highly selective and reversible inhibitor or sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) that works independently of insulin to hep remove excess glucose from the body The product prevents glucose from re-entering the circulation, causing it to be released thru urine. In their tests, it can release 70 grams of glucose per day.
It is now available thru Mercury Drug for Php 61.50 but like all of medical experts said, you have to consult for doctor before taking it.
