I dropped recently at one of Ekotek's newest kiosks in SM Muntinlupa and I am lucky that their sales person gave me a go signal for these pics and my first look of Ekotek's first 3G capable Android tablet.
At the front, you can check the 7 inch IPS WSVGA display with 2 MP front camera. The back has the 5 MP rear camera with Ekotek Encore 3G logo and single speaker. Take a closer look at the camera part as you can remove the cover to reveal the dual regular SIM slots and micro SD slot. This one is powered by 1.3 GHz Mediatek quad-core processor.
The top has micro USB port for data and chraging plus the 3.5 mm. audio jack. Due to limited time, I was not able to check if it is CTIA-complaint. The bottom has the pin hole mic.
The app drawer is kinda normal for a typical Android Kitkat OS. Out of 8 GB ROM, you can have about 4.56 GB of internal storage (safe to say that it has unified storage) which is good news for stacking in a number of apps.
First impressions: This is not the tablet that I saw with the smallest bezels but the WSVGA display is comparable to the 2015 Asus Memopad ME70CX that I previously reviewed. Build quality is nice for my taste and for price consideration. The back cover is on the matte side so no problems for finger prints. Some concerns for me is it's vulnerability to dirt (coz it has white back cover) and if this tablet can support both 3G.
Ekotek Encore 3G is now available in Ekotek kiosks and online channels for Php 4,999
