That recent Cherry Mobile Octacore Overdrive event gave me an opportunity to handle some of their Android smartphones that I didn't have a chance to see it during this 1st half of the year. Here is one of those devices, Cherry Mobile Flare XL
The front has 5.5 inch IPS HD display and 2 MP front camera. The back side has 13 MP rear camera with flash. Without the cover, you can see the 2 dual micro sim slots, micro SD slot and removable 2,300 mAh battery. Going back to the left photo (I had a bad shot on this) but out of 8 GB ROM that it has less than 6 GB for app storage which is very good.
The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack and micro USB port while at the bottom, the usual pin hole microphone. The left side has the volume rocker. The power/unlock button is at the right part. It is quite true that the sides have a bronze-like color.
Here are my camera samples. The 13 MP main camera has f/2.2 aperture while it's f/2.4 for the 2 MP selfie camera.

First impressions: The form factor is quite plain and simple for me like I already saw this in some of previous CM models but with a bigger size but I can't complain to it's SRP. It has almost 90% stock Android look and feel which is great. The main and secondary cameras have some lost details compared to the other CM device that I tested during the event although it has an acceptable shutter speed.
Cherry Mobile Flare XL is now available in Cherry Mobile kiosks, stores and authorized retailers for Php 4,999
