Exciting times for me as it was my first time to be in an Acer event. An interesting day as they unveiled their newest quad-core phone with voice selfie feature.
Acer Liquid Z520 is a phablet with 5 inch FWVGA display, Android 4.4 Kitkat upgradeable to Android Lollipop (as one Acer PH official said that it will be available soon via OTA and it is currently on test mode), 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6582 quad-core processor, 8 MP AF rear camera with flash and f/2.0 aperture, 2 MP FF front camera, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB ROM, dual micro SIM, micro SD expandable up to 32 GB, WiFi, Bluetooth and 2,000 mAh Li-Po battery.
Aside from the voice feature, it has DTS sound support which can enhance your viewing experience like for example, you're in a movie marathon. The back cover also has a textile-like texture (like the last Acer smartphone that I had for first impressions which I described as "sinamay" like finish) and easy and basic mode options which are good for both kids and senior citizens.
The device is available in mystic black and pure white. When they announced it's price, I really had a smile on my face as they have a more competitive pricing this year at Php 4,990 and it is already available in Acer mobile stores and authorized retailers.
