Just fresh from the Oppo New Trio launch last night, I am lucky that I have something to review soon from one of the three featured phones at the event. Here's the Oppo Neo 5.
These are the front and back views of the Oppo Neo 5 box. The back already has a teaser of it's specs. The packaging is a-ok for a budget midrange phone from Oppo.
I got the black variant of this device (which I also saw the white version at the event). The front has 2 MP front camera, 4.5 inch FWVGA display and has matte screen protector in good quality. The back has 8 MP AF rear camera with flash, Oppo branding and speaker. The back cover is glossy which gives some finger prints. Good thing that the back cover is easy to remove.
This is what you'll gonna see if you will remove the back cover. The micro SD slot is located at the left part, SIM 2 for nano SIM at the center and SIM 1 for micro SIM at the right portion. The 2,000 mAh battery is already built in.
The top has 3.5 mm. audio jack while at the bottom, you can see the microphone and micro USB slot.
The power/unlock button is located at the left side while the volume rocker is located at the right side.
The package also includes instructionals, micro USB to USB cord, earphones and 1 ampere USB charger.
First impressions: The appearance is still elegant for me despite that it is a budget Oppo smartphone. I checked out the main camera and this is one of the fastest camera shutter speed that I encountered compared to other MT6582 quad-core phones that I had from local and international brands. I wonder if the Color OS 2.0 contributes to this thing. I haven't check the quality of the photos so far which you can expect in my full review soon.
Oppo Neo 5 has an SRP of Php 7,990
Update: I double checked the Oppo Neo 5's screen protector and it turned out that it has 2 layers
