Z H & K Odyssey unboxing, first impressions, specs

That Z H & K Mobile's first event last October 2014 was still in my memory. Recently, the local mobile and tablet brand contacted me to review their latest quad-core smartphone, here's the Z H & K Odyssey

Sticking to their main color which is orange that's why it's no surprise for me when I saw the box. This is what to expect when you'll gonna buy the Z H & K Mobile Odyssey soon. A few days ago, I also saw the box of Z H & K Venus which also the same but replace the Odyssey marking with Venus. They have the same style that a sticker was put on for the phone's information.

The front has 4.5 inch IPS qHD display with 2 MP FF front camera with 3 Android capacitive buttons. Inside of it has the 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6582 quad-core processor with Android 4.4 Kitkat,  512 MB RAM and 4 GB ROM. In my previous article, I said that the back looks like LG G2 minus the rear key and it is real but there's another thing. If you'll gonna take a closer look, the back cover is kinda inspired with discoball-like design (minus the shining effects). The back cover has a glossy but laminated finish so not that much finger prints when I'm using this. There's also the 5 MP AF rear camera with flash, Z H & K Logo and name & single rear speaker

The top part has the micro USB port and 3.5 mm. audio jack while at the bottom, there's the pin hole mic.

First time that I encountered a smartphone with the volume rocker and power/unlock button are located at the left side so that means nothing on the opposite side.

The package also includes the 1 ampere charger, micro USB to USB cable, user guide, earbuds and a flip cover which you'll gonna see in the next paragraph. When I opened the back cover, you can check the 1 regular sim slot, 1 micro sim slot and micro SD slot. Both sim slots are HSPA+ capable. There's also the 1,400 mAh Li-iOn removable battery.

Here's the free flip cover which is a stick-on based accessory. I hope Z H & K Mobile will also sell back covers of this device if you'll gonna rely on the flip cover.

First impressions: I'm surprised on how snappy the device from still a newbie mobile brand like Z H & K but no surprise coz mainly it's Android Kitkat.

That's it for my first check on the Z H & K Odyssey, stay tuned for the review of this device soon. Z H & K Mobile Odyssey is now available in Z H & K Mobile stores for Php 3,499
