I believe that it was already on their third year that known vinyl shop in the metro Satchmi had their Vinyl Day for this year which happened a few days ago at the Bonifacio High Street Auditorium, Bonifacio Global City.
Coz it's summer, I chose to be in the area at around 6pm. As I expected, the show's a bit delayed compared to the list of artists that they posted on their Facebook page. Not a bad way to start my gig as I got my first serving from known local synth-pop artist BP Valenzuela.
Fun times once again just like in Scout Magazine's event when I saw Ang Bandang Shirley's set
It happened that it was my first Imago gig with their new vocalist and cosplayer Mayumi Gomez
I also had a glimpse from indie band Autotelic with Kai Honasan on the keyboards/synth
Before this, I saw the band name in some of Saguijo gigs in the past few months. Good thing, I heard that unique sound from Oh! Flamingo
Good vibes as always when I had a dose of Cheats with Jason Caballa of Pedicab on guitars
And as a response to the band's question on their latest EP (kung pwede lang talaga mag-sando sa set nila that time) was the disco-punk band Pedicab as the last act of the night.
Satchmi also had some sale prices on vinyls and Motorino turntables plus their partners also got some treats for those who were there in the area. What I loved was the freebie from Cool Kids which sells their unique kind of ice cream which you can find at the 5th flr of Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall.
This event pushed me more to create some space in my hub and have my own vinyl collection. I'm aware that vinyl offers a different kind of sound compared to mp3s and CDs.
