I read the latest available stock of known Cherry Mobile retailer Cherry Angel as of January 28 until I found out something interesting again.
As you can read the list, the retailer said that there's a "Cherry Mobile Omega Icon 8 GB" priced at Php 4,499. I wonder on what is the 8 GB is all ab out. As far as I know, the Omega Icon has only 4 GB ROM so I looked back from my files of the first Omega Icon appearance in an old Cherry Mobile poster and look:
This Omega Icon above has 4 GB of ROM. I wonder if the 8 GB of Omega Icon that was said is refering to a new version with 8 GB ROM or a possibility that it's the Omega Icon with free 8 GB of micro SD? For sure, it will not be a phone with 8 GB of RAM. If this is the newest version, I wonder on it's key specs.
I am currently waiting the answer of the retailer if there's really an Omega Icon with 8 GB or is it only a case of typo error so expect an update from this post.
