We were already knew Kata in the local tech scene. As an international brand, we wonder on why they still don’t have an octa-core smartphone for over a year now since the MT6592 was officially available.
The wait is over as I checked the Kata Digital Hong Kong Facebook page and this picture has it. The Kata i4 is the brand’s first octa-core phablet with quadband 2G, tri-band 3G, Android 4.4 Kitkat, running on Mediatek 1.7 GHz octa-core processor, has 5 inch HD display, 16 MP AF rear camera, 8 MP FF front camera, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM and 2,300 mAh battery.
One thing that’s something to watch out is the Yamaha professional bass speakers but unfortunately, this device only has single sim support. A downer compared to a number of octa-core phones from local & international brands which can offer dual sim capability.
No information yet on it’s international price. Meanwhile, there’s no official words too from the Kata Digital Philippines Facebook page side.
