ZTE Blade Vec 4G specs, price, first impressions, benchmarks

I’m happy a few days ago with the help of Lazada Philippines as I met the wonderful people from ZTE Mobile Philippines and their exclusive distributor MSI-ECS as they unveiled their 3 new smartphones, the Nubia Z5S Mini, Blade Vec 4G and Blade Vec Pro. For this post, I focused on the ZTE Blade Vec 4G

I’m happy that a global brand like ZTE brought a midrange LTE phone with under the P10k price tag. In my first hold, I knew that this phone is sexy and thin.

The top and the bottom parts of the device. The top has the 3.5 mm. audio jack and the micro USB slot at the bottom. Sadly, the micro USB slot does not have USB OTG support. Based on the demo unit that I played at the event, I noticed that it’s kinda choosy in putting in my 3rd party CTIA complaiant earphones so I chose the stock headset which is a-ok.

The left side does nothing to do with the phablet as for the right side, you can check the volume rocker and power/unlock button

This is the box of the Blade Vec 4G. A giveaway that it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor

The main page and the app drawer of the device. The usual Android buttons are there on the screen. I noticed that there are 2 default launchers, the Google Now launcher and an ‘in-house” launcher from ZTE which is ok too.

The music player is also one of the most interesting features for me on this phone. The magic goes as it has the Dolby equalizer which is really pleasing on my ears

Lastly, the benchmarks. The Antutu 5.2.0 gave me some not-the-usual numbers for a typical Snapdragon 400 processor so I chose not to include it. In CPU-Z, it’s clocked at 1.2 GHz quad-core. All the highlighted sensors are working as I tested it.

ZTE Blade Vec 4G is now available in Lazada Philippines, ZTE Mobile stores and authorized resellers for Php 9,990. I really love to put on my review table someday.
