I might not have any of the 2 smartphones from Xiaomi right now but luckily, I’m able to share my review of one of Mi accessories that I encountered as early as July, Xiaomi Pistons In-Ear Headphones.

Up close with the Pistons In-Ear Headphones
Except for the cords, most parts of the earphones are made of metal. The upper wire part is made from a unique kind of rubber coating while the lower wire part is covered by cloth, something that you can compare by some shoe strings. Good thing that Mi added 3 sizes for the ear buds which I discovered that I’m more comfortable at the small pair
Performance:
Luckilly, I was able to check the Pistons in 3 smartphones: MyPhone Infinity Lite, Cherry Mobile Ultra and Asus Zenfone 5. Expected that it is CTIA-complaiant and the details of the percussions, drums, and synths are really good plus the bass is kinda ok. For hearing and watching pleasure, I checked some of my fave FM radio stations, Spotify, Youtube and Soundcloud. Sounds may vary depending on the smartphone as the equalizer of your fave music app can help.
Another great part of this device is the mic. This is the first time that I used Google Now with an earphone (with the help of a good internet connection), my inquiry got it so clear unlike with stock earphones from 2 of the 3 smartphones mentioned. I also tried on some local cellular calls and it worked so fine even that my mouth is far from about 5 inches to the micYou can fully utilize the controls of Pistons if you are using either the Mi 3 or the Redmi 1S especially the volume controls. In a special case, the volume rocker acted as previous and next track buttons when I inserted it onto MyPhone Infinity Lite. The default volume is normal.
Verdict:
For the price of P695, Xiaomi Pistons In-Ear Headphones is a steal thanks for the quality of the materials inside. This one is suitable mostly for tracks like indie/indie pop, electronica, RnB, pop and alternative. I’ll give the Pistons 5 out of 5.
