Cherry Mobile did a breakthrough again this time as the Flare series upgraded to a phablet.
Update: Contrary on what one of CM officials said to us that the rear camera of this device is fixed focus, check the YouTube video of Flare 3 unboxing by Alex of The Technoclast ( at 13:45 to 14:02) and it's clear that it has an autofocus camera
Cherry Mobile Flare 3 is a 5 inch phablet with qHD OGS display and 1.3 Ghz quad core chipset.
I only had a quickie but important first impressions of the Flare 3 as I checked the unified storage and USB OTG capability.
Good and not so good, it has 6 GB in total of unified storage out of 8 GB ROM which is great news for heavy gamers . The not so good is this not USB OTG supported.
The Cherry Mobile Flare 3 is available starting August 2 for P3,999. For those who will buy at Cherry Mobile stores in Robinsons Place Manila & SM North EDSA and already in line starting at 3pm (first 100 persons) will have free screen protector, powerbank and flip cover
