MyPhone Iceberg Slim first impressions, Antutu, other benchmarks, camera samples, specs

MyPhone Iceberg Slim is the newest member of the MyPhone Iceberg family. This smartphone is for those who want to have almost the same qualities of the said handset group but that it will be as light and very easy to put in their pockets.

Fortunately for me, I saw a unit of it in the flesh many thanks to Gelo of MobileTechPinoy (who’s one of my roommates) at the recent MyPhone BlogCon 2014. He gave me a free time on what can I expect of it at first.

Upon holding it for the first time, I really felt the lightness as I already used to 5-inch phablets. At the screen size of 4.7 inch display, it is easy to manuever in one hand. No complains on the color as it has a friendly price tag of P7,999

One unique feature that I usually saw in tablets with sim card slot is also present on this one. You have to open the top portion at the back to reveal the one of the 2 sim slots and the micro SD slot. The other sim slot is at the right portion which you need the provided sim card pin to open it.

As expected in an HD screen, it is pleasing in the eyes. What gives me another reason to smile on this handset: it’s CTIA-complaiant so your 3rd-party earphone with pause/play button on this one and it is USB OTG capable. The stock music player UI is also new to me so it’s ok to me as an audio junkie. There's also a clever motion option but I do  not a chance to check it properly.

For the Antutu and other benchmarks, you can check my screenshots below. Due to limited internet access in our area, I don’t have a chance to check the multi-touch but Alexei Rivera of The Technoclast and Big Time Show said it is a 10-point multi-touch which is a new number in today’s local Android phones.

For camera samples, feel free to right click the pic and download for your own judgment. Just don’t own it when you post in your own blog or social media account/s

8 MP rear camera shot
5 MP front camera shot
