Taste Run: Permex Tuna Flakes in Oil food review

Before we encountered that delicious and real tuna from a house (supermarket) brand, we already knew this brand as also has the same taste (and do you remember, Tommy’s Tuna and Ocean’s Best tuna?)

We got a can of Permex Tuna Flakes In Oil 155 grams as we saw them at the recent Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair 2014 held in Megatrade Hall. We were glad that we saw their booth coz the last time that I bought their product was way back a few days ago in Walter Mart Calamba as only saw them at that year at Walter Mart branches. One representative from the company said that they’re currently in talks with a known value supermarket (Clue: They’re currently one of the sponsors of a segment of a noontime show) which we hope it will be a positive turn-out so that we can them more in canned section shelves.

Back to the product, I only need a few cups of rice and pour the contents straight from the can. Sometimes, we reheat it but we suggest to mix it a little so that we can still feel the pure taste of the fish.

Just like our college days, the great tasting real tuna from Permex remains the same to this date. We were happy that there’s another honest to goodness canned good that we can buy. We highly recommend this product as they also said that it is currently used in known donut stores and a bakery (which you will hear soon on our podcast)

We bought the product at the factory price of less than P30 so it will be a bit more than P30 for sure in stores but we assure you that the product is worth every peso

Grade: 5 out of 5

Gusto ko talaga yung Permex (lalo na yung Solid in Oil haha) mas masarap kahit pa vs Red Label ng Century Tuna, mas mura pa.
