To
celebrate their 10,000 likes at their Facebook page
(facebook.com/theroachclub), indie band
Flying Ipis celebrated it with a gig last weekend at Ronac Art Center.
The
last time we watched an Ipis gig was way back 2012 at the Ang Nawawala victory
party plus our first time at the said place (a good place for more cool gigs
aside from Cubao X) plus to watch The Cheats.
It’s
good mood for us to watch Flying Ipis on an afternoon plus they premiered their
newest song entitled Half Brain. After their set, they had a tattoo session
(yes, that Ipis Bolt) from Sarah Gaugler’s Snow Tattoo.
After
that, our eyes and ears were focused to The Cheats (facebook.com/cheatsph) .
This is Saab Magalona’s 2nd band aside from Duster. Their music is
interesting so far from us as we look forward to be in their future gigs soon.
We were bit surprised that as you can saw on our pics, we can consider them as
a big band already coz they’re 8.
Bonus
for us that we saw Elmo Magalona and Janine Gutierrez for the first time as
they enjoyed (as well as all of the people there) The Cheats set.
We
were happy and entertained in the few hours that we spent there.
