Last November 26 thru one of tweets from KC Montero when we saw this unique event by Microsoft Philippines entitled #WindowsGlassHousePH happened at Greenbelt 5 at the same day.
The said event featured the capabilities of the new Windows 8.1 that will help in your every part of your house. The glass was designed by Ms. Ivy and Cynthia Almario of Atelier Almario. The house was divided in 4 parts: the bedroom, living room, exercise room and kitchen. Every part of the house has a ready Microsoft Philippines representative to help us (which you will hear soon on one episode of our podcast)
We were there coz we wanna know more on Windows 8.1 and some programs and innovations. From the kitchen, we were akready wowed with the help of a Samsung computer which supports hands free gesture which compliments with Bing Travel and Bing Food and Drinks apps. Also, Meralco app was already available in the said OS.
In the gaming/music/living room, we were introduced on what the said OS can deliver on games and they introduced us on Xbox Music. We were amazed to the massive library that you can shop for legal music downloads. There’s also an option to listen to internet radio. How we wish that Xbox Music will allow podcasters to upload their podcasts for free just like in a known online music store.
In the bedroom thru the help of student representative Kristina, she introduced us to Office 365 and Skydrive plus a Pinoy Henyo-inspired game entitled “Henyo” which is cool that she knows it even she’s not a Filipino. Office 365 is ok to us coz there’s also a post a blog option which you can use it to update blogs. 2 of the 5 blogs that are supported are Blogger and Wordpress.
On the main event, host of the event KC Montero did more demos for various apps on the big screen through the help of Microsoft Philippines and Jasmine Curtis Smith which she said that she likes Bing Travel.
