Last weekend was special for us even in a not so friendly weather as we were at the launch of El Sur, Mercato Centrale group’s newest baby which is currently opens every Friday (4pm-3am) and Saturday (12nn to 12mn) at Corte de las Palmas of Alabang Town Center beside Fully Booked.

After Soderno was gone early last year, we were happy that another weekend market for southerners emerged once again. From what we saw, there are more than 10 food booths mostly serving rice meals, burgers, cakes and pastries. You can also buy beers from San Miguel plus acoustic bands are playing almost every hour to serenade the customers.

From the booths that were there, we chose to test Juana Bowl? for our food review there coz we checked that were only a few but good reviews about their delicious yet affordable food meals.

On their menu that night, they had the U.S. Rib Eye Steak meal with rice (Value Meal at P110 and P190 for the regular meal) and both Norweigan Pink Salmon and Tanigue Steak with rice at P190. As a first timer and as a try, we chose to get the Rib Eye Steak value meal. The friendly female staff suggested that their medium well way of cooking is their best seller for the said meal (as I asked them) so that I said ok to her.
After a few minutes of waiting, we already had our meal and from the looks of the picture, that P110 is a steal and what’s more for the taste. Two thumbs up for the taste, the volume of the meal and the price. I must recommend this for you who will pay a visit there. We will also gonna try the other stalls there asap. Stay updated as we also had a podcast version of our coverage for this soon.

Thank you Mercato Centrale group for bringing back a weekend market in the South Metro and congratulations in your launch.
