This time, it featured 14 short films (all of them shot in various places in Nuvali, you can check the entries here) and two recent entries by Cinemalaya 2013, Transit and Ekstra
The 1st 3 hours were spent by the showcase of the 14 short films and some fun games to enjoy. The event was hosted by former MYX VJ Joyce Pring.

A snapshot at the first few minutes of Ekstra
Before the showing of the two Cinemalaya entries, they had an awarding for Novice and Professional categories. In the 14 short film entries, 11 are in Novice and 3 are in Professional categories. Here are the winners:
Novice:
1st Runner-up: Jose Pedal
Grand Winner: Bugtong
Professional:
1st Runner-up: Hello Goodbye
Grand Winner: Pare Koi
Around 8:30pm when they played the two Cinemalaya entries, 1st was Transit then Ekstra at past 10pm.
It was our first time to watch Transit as we were entertained by the story itself. As expected (as we saw Ekstra for the 2nd time), people were laughing at some scenes of this latest project by Ms. Vilma Santos. Coz of our second time, we got a lot more details to the most of the scene.
As we checked at the clock, it already finished few minutes after 12mn (which is already October 27) but no regrets for us and the rest of people in the area coz it was the start of the long weekend due to barangay elections.
For those who missed this event, you have a chance to watch the 14 short films again at bit.ly/nucinema2013 . As Nuvali will award for the Peoples Choice category, you have options to support your favorite entry. Here's how:
1. Go to facebook.com/nuvaliofficial , like the page and like your favorite entry
2. Go to bit.ly/nucinema2013 , login to your Youtube or Google account and like your favorite entry
Our opinion: Compare to the 1st one, good thing that we didn't saw any person who brought an alcoholic drink there and no smokers too. No beanbags this time (good thing coz it was only for media when a local channel was one of the sponsors on the 1st one) but monoblock chairs are available to anyone. We also like the face that we have an option to bring your own food (but there are a plenty of food vendors at the area). A bit disappointed for us coz
1. Discrepancy on hashtags. Since NUCinema was announced, the official hashtag as we saw mostly in Nuvali Facebook and Twitter pages was #NUCINEMA . When they had a round-up of tweets and pics posted on Twitter and IG posted in the big screen, the hashtag was became #NuCinema so we had to post some pics with that new hashtag. In our own observation, hashtags are case-sensitive.
2. Only one round-up of tweets and pics posted in the big screen, the tweets and pics were taken between 4pm to 6pm. At around past 8pm, they replayed the same round-up. That precious moment that your tweet or IG post on the big screen was sayang for those who took some effort like us.
Overall, it's a good improvement compared to the 1st one. I hope for more indie and short films in Nuvali's 3rd Outdoor Filmfest (hopefully next year). By the way, we will have the podcast version of this event and will be available for download and thru Youtube either in November or December 2013 so stay tuned to this blog site.
