Launched yesterday, your points that you earned from Globe Prepaid, Globe Postpaid, Globe Tattoo or TM can now be used to purchase at all partner establishments like Ayala Malls Cinemas, Figaro, Wendy's, Petron, Enchanted Kingdom, Sunglass Hut and Rose Pharmacy.
Present at the said event were Mr. Ernest Cu (CEO, Globe Telecom), Ms. Jeanette Alonso (Head, Customer Lifecycle Managament, Globe Telecom), Atty. Rolly S. Duenas (Deputy General Manager, Ayala Cinemas) and Mr. Crismel Verano (CEO, Figaro)
The formula for purchasing is at 1 peso to 1 Globe Rewards point so if you'll purchase a 50-peso product, you need at least 50 Globe Rewards points to buy it. To pay via Globe Rewards pts., text BUY(space)10-digit Globe number of the partner establishment e.g. 917xxxxxxx(space)number of points and send to 4438. To check your points, text BAL and send to 4438. There's a minimum no. of points to purchase a product depending on the partner establishment which you can see the info in one of our pics.
As for the Q & A portion brought from us and fellow bloggers and media people, for Figaro this program will be available either for company-owned or franchise branches. We asked Atty. Duenas if we can also use the rewards points for paying the reservation fee for Sureseats.com by clicking the "Reserve" button (FYI: You can purchase and reserve a seat at Ayala Cinemas thru Sureseats.com). Sadly, you can only use the points for movie purchases. The customer will have to pay the P20 reservation fee by cash. We also give credit to Ms. Ria, Marketing Manager of Ayala Cinemas (as she approched us after the event) for added clarification.
Stay tuned to this blog post as we will update the info on other partner establishments on more info related on this program by Globe. We were really happy that Globe developed this program now that there's another use our points aside from purchasing Globe call and text promos.

Press Release:
Giving subscribers more ways to use
their rewards points with more partners
Globe beefs up
rewards program with new offer
As
part of its commitment to superior customer experience, Globe Telecom beefs up
its rewards program with the launch of its newest rewards offer that gives
subscribers more ways to use their rewards points.
Beyond telco
services, gadgets, and gift certificates as rewards available for redemption, Globe
rewards points are now recognized as a form of payment similar to cash in partner-merchants
nationwide.
With a
much-improved rewards program, Globe is implementing a straightforward
points-to-peso conversion of 1 point = Php 1.00, making it easier for
subscribers to use their points and redeem rewards. With the new system, Globe
rewards points are now recognized as a form of payment, similar to regular
cash.
This means that Globe rewards points can be used to purchase items
from partner-merchants such as Ayala Malls Cinemas for movie tickets and Figaro
Coffee for food and beverage purchases. Subscribers just need to bring their
rewards points to partner-merchants and transact with the cashier via text.
For as low as 50 points, subscribers can already redeem their choice
of food or beverage in Figaro Coffee, while a minimum of 100 points are
required to redeem a movie ticket from Ayala Malls Cinemas. Two months since
the launch of the partnerships, almost 7 million points or P7 million have been
accumulated from subscribers who used their points to purchase items from
Figaro and Ayala Malls Cinemas.
Other partners to be launched are Enchanted Kingdom,
Petron, Rose Pharmacy, Sunglass Hut, and Wendy’s Hamburgers.
Globe rewards points are earned every time a prepaid
subscriber tops up, or a postpaid subscriber uses his Globe postpaid plan. Subscribers
can also receive points shared by fellow Globe subscribers for bigger rewards.
Aside from new partner-merchants, the Globe Rewards catalog includes Globe call
and text services, shopping, dining and leisure items, and gadgets.
“With a more customer-centric My Rewards My Globe, subscribers can now
customize not just their prepaid promos or postpaid plans, but also their
choice of rewards using their Globe points,” said Jay Beltran, Head of Customer
Lifecycle Management at Globe. “Subscribers can now bring their Globe rewards
points to our partner-merchants and pay for their purchases, without shelling
out cash, queuing up, or waiting for delivery of their rewards. Now, rewards points are good as cash so subscribers
have more ways to enjoy their rewards based on their lifestyle.”
Beltran added, “The positive impact our rewards
program has impressed on subscribers is translated to our brands’ churn rates
sustained at low levels. Subscribers’ continued use of Globe services is on a
steady growth as a result of providing subscribers the type of telco rewards no
other network can offer.”
To date,
over 12 million Globe subscribers have been actively using their points to
redeem rewards.
Redemption of
rewards in partner-merchants can be done by texting BUY MOBILE # OF MERCHANT
AMOUNT to 4438. To
check available points, text BAL to 4438. For more details, visit www.rewards.globe.com.ph.
