I Enjoyed My Century Bangus Fillet In A Warehouse

Sometime in October 2009, it was one typical working day for me. I was one of the many people in our company to be assigned in the morning shift. When I had to do my own assignment when I'm in the morning slot, one of my concerns is to eat something different at my lunch in each passing day. In that particular day, I'm lucky that I remembered that can of Century Gourmet Bangus Fillet Spanish Style in our kitchen shelf. Everytime that I used to go to the supermarket, I always look for new items specially something related for my tummy. I'm glad that Century created a product like this for someone like me who's exploring for good food. What I also liked about this product is because its in easy-to-open can. An added convenience for me as I may eat this anytime, anywhere. The question is: am I gonna be happy after I consumed this for the first time? I will find out at my lunch break.

And my day started with a little briefing from our bosses and a lot of action-packed chores at the workplace. Me and my co-workers were in silence as we were as busy as an ant colony. That thing just broke up when it's only minutes to noonbreak. As expected, I already heard those buzzes "What's your viand today?", "Where's the best carenderia to hang out?" and so on. It's no surprise when one of our heads came in and announced "Kailangan pag nag lunch break kayo, by batch." That development means that we have to maximize the time in our today's workload. Me and my work buddy Ace put us in the last batch because we already knew the tactics on the work that day. After that, we were happy that we did our job as early that our expected time frame.

So here comes half past lunch time. Ace and I are searching for any possible slots in that long line of carenderia and food stalls. My work buddy was a bit sad after his favorite food stall just ran out of his favorite meal. Imagine Ace has a big question mark on his head after I said "Let's go there!". As expected, he's not in favor at my suggestions because we even don' have any dish to compliment our packed rice. I just said to him to buy some softdrinks and I'll take care of the rest. After that, we were ready to discover the intriguing taste of Century Gourmet Bangus Fillet Spanish Style in an unusual yet peaceful place to eat: in one of our vacant warehouses. We both gave a great approval after we consumed the entire contents. The bangus fillet pieces inside the can were delectable and delicious. Ace also liked the product because of it's right spicy kick. It's quite suitable for someone Bicolano like him. The end result: we both approached that bench area with a full stomach to carry.

Thank you Century Gourmet Bangus Fillet for providing us a great, sumptuous and delicious gorumet on the go.

My Love and Tribute to Tower Records A.T.C. (also known as M1 A.T.C.)

My Love and Tribute to Tower Records A.T.C. (also known as M1 A.T.C.)

Way back in my high school, whether I'm going to buy CDS or just to watch band gigs (coz that's the only other option to watch a band gig aside from a mall tour, I'm not allowed to go to bar gigs that time). I used to go in this particular record store in Alabang Town Center known that time as Tower Records (which later the name changed to M1). That particular store's quite cool coz there were some times that I just gonna go there, look for new releases and you may listen to the CDs for free (and you may finish the entire album as long as you have the guts). Aside from the name change thing, there's also one time that they had to make the store a little smaller but what the store has to offer still never faded. They still delivered those cool gigs that I attended like (some from my fresh memory), the 2nd album launch of Kjwan, a full set gig from Bamboo, Mishka Adams (yes, there's one time that I listened to jazz) and this particular gig that I'm gonna featured. This another full set gig by Laguna-based band Typecast dated days before November 2006 (Oh, it's over 3 years ago) Some trivia: at this particular gig at that time, their album Every Moss and Cobweb was still a purely indie release and not yet distributed by a major label. It was a great set, you may see some emo kids from Laguna Bay side of Alabang

This is the opening track of the gig:

Bright Eyes

Then, one of my favorite tracks, In Blindness

A massive favorite, Another Minute until Ten

The last song, Don't Take me from Me

Until about later last year, I just saw the store's location renovated into a bookstore

Oh, those memories.....

The Brewrats Ep.445 Summary 10/29/2009 Sando Night Thursday

Tado and Ramon started the Sando Night for that week with their 2nd time guest in the show Moymoy Palaboy and Roadfill. The duo shared on what's latest on them including their latest endorsement of Winrox bleach (which I'm the 1st caller to win a gift pack from them, thanks). The rats also asked some weird questions to them. Just some info, they both became from the province of Cebu. They even shared their movie marathon on watching Michael Jackson's This is It and 3d movie Astroboy in just one night. Angel came in late at before 8pm. Ramon invited Angel and Tado to challenge the tandem to a Pinoy Henyo game. Here's the recap:

1. Moymoy's team got the word Troy Montero
2. Tado didn't get the word Boy Abunda
3. Moymoy's team didn't get the word Papaya
4. Angel didn't get the word Kambing.
5. Moymoy's team didn't get the word Ipod

After that, Ramon decided to create a twist in the game as he wanted the rats to join Moymoy's team and guess the Henyo word within 5 minutes. The word's Tarzan but they failed to guess it. Last 45 minutes of the show, they accepted the calls of the brewsters to share their horror stories. The one that gave me an interest was Eljohn's personal experience with a ghost. Wow, I'm suprised that someone like him can also feel those spirits.

By the way as another way to thank Moymoy Palaboy for the gift pack, here's their latest commercial:

PLDT Watchpad: A Must Have for Internet Savvy People

My curiosity ran wild after I saw this TV commercial of PLDT Watchpad specially with that tagline "Watch, Chat, Blog, Share". What's more on this new and free service of PLDT MyDSL is that I can watch TV right on my PC while doing my usual stuff online all in just one window. Talking about comfort online, huh?

Few weeks ago, I'm lucky that I'm one of the people who had an opportunity to test run on this wonderful service. It was a blast for me as I'm in control of the laptop. There are many exciting things to expect on PLDT Watchpad. No need to turn on my TV or to subscribe to my local cable provider because there's a number of free and cable channels to watch live and online like GMA, MTV if I gonna be in the mood to watch music videos or to explore new things via National Geographic channel. This works for a heavy cyberspace multi-tasking guy like me coz while I'm enjoying to watch my favorite channels, I can also update my Friendster, Multiply, Facebook, Twitter or my own blog all in just one window. Aside from that, I can now watch those award-winning independent films right in the comfort of my PC. A perfect answer for me as I really want to catch these must-see movies but I don't have the luxury of time to go to moviehouses or to attend these "indie" film festivals. It's also loaded of exclusive contents which is only available on this great innovative service.

I highly recommend to grab this free service and register at www.pldtwatchpad.com together with your PLDT MyDSL internet connection. Everyone should have a PLDT Watchpad as your online companion because it delivers efficiency and a time-saver as you're having a good time on the worldwide web all in just one hub.
