First Sunday at the First Krispy Kreme branch in the South - Festival Mall Alabang

Sad that I didn't have a chance to be in the launch of the first Krispy Kreme branch in the south metro, in the 2nd level of Festival Supermall Alabang last September 2, 2011. Some bloggers said that it was "by invitation" event (as I addressed this to the top people at the said branch but they said that it is open to all). As a good retaliation, I went there for the 1st Sunday of the store.

I arrived there at around meryenda time. Hot coffee is not option for me as I chose the large Chocolate Chocolate and 2 donuts: New York Cheesecake and the regular glazed doughnut. Given that it is a Family day, it almost a struggle for me to have a seat. Even the long table inside the store (there are a lot of tables and chairs outside) was also occupied. It took almost 2 minutes to get a nice rest and savor the goodness of what Krispy Kreme delivers.

Good and bad things at my presence at Blogger Fiesta 2011at SM North EDSA

August 20, 2011: After on my usual things, I rushed to SM North EDSA to be at Blogger Fiesta 2011 headed by blogger Azrael Coladilla. I arrived there at around 4pm.

To end up my blog with good things, let's start off with the bad ones. They had a live video set-up which they had live video stream of the bloggers while tweeting live for the event just to use the hashtag #bloggerfiesta or tag tweet @popazrael. It's already a simple joy for me to see my tweets as it is a good opportunity to plug my blog but until the last minutes of the show, I did not saw any tweets from me. I used an SMS-based tweet right there, apart for those bloggers who are tweeting either thru their tablets or smartphones. I had to go to the center part of the venue, grabbed the mic with courtesy and asked Mr. Azrael about that matter. As he said, not all tweets can be published so I had to pin point my tweets thru the event. Sadly, I didn't have a chance to share a better app than the one they used at the event. (Hopefully next time), my tweets will show up together with those tweets that came in from tablets and smartphones.

Good vibes naman, the first speaker that I saw was Mr. David D'Angelo, a blogger and also a cosplayer as he cosplayed Stone Cold Steve Austin complete with that entrance audio in the background as he discussed on Blog Personalities

Next is Mr. Carlo Ople as he brought in a topic on how to use social media in blogging. Also in the line-up are Ms. Jenny Manongdo, Ms. Sheena Catalan of Norton, Ms. Tasha of Multiply.com, the familiar Mr. Marlon Guzman of Solidhosting.ph (as he discussed on how to protect your blog from hacking) & Mr. Marnell delos Reyes (on Common Blog Issues)

Red Horse Beer Muziklaban 2011-2012 Press Launch (wacth performances here!)

It was first time to join in an online-based press launch (actually it was the first) for Red Horse Beer Muziklaban 2011-2012 Press Launch which me and my fellow bloggers watched online. Before the event, we already received a box of 24 cans of Red Horse Beer, a CD featuring the band and artist endorsers, the press kit, other RHB kits and a tshirt from the band Mayonnaise

The online event started at around 8pm hosted by Francis Reyes and Sanya Smith. Shot at Hard Rock Cafe in Makati for me as rakista, I had a blast watching great bands like Slapshock, Gayuma, Light of Luna, Even, Mayonnaise, Hatankaru, Pepe Smith and the last band that time to perform was Wilabaliw

The set-up has 2 cameras, one at the stage area and another one which bloggers can interact with some of the band members thru Twitter. Personally, thumbs to Reg Rubio of Greyhoundz as I asked him on any updates on their upcoming album.

Check out www.redhorsebeer.com and like Red Horse Beer Muziklaban on Facebook for the event updates

As a treat, RHB just uploaded a set of performances during the launch with performances by Slapshock, Mayonnaise, Light of Luna,  Even, Gayuma, Hatankaru, Pepe Smith and Wilabaliw. Watch it.

First time at Momo Manila

Last August 22 (through the info of The Technoclast and thanks that I had a good sked) at the 11th fllor of Insular Life building in Makati when I had a chance to be in Mobile Monday Manila (a.k.a. Momo Manila)

The ambience itself at the event and to saw a new set of people was a great thing for me, including a professor from the nearby University of Makati.

One of the presentors was Mr. Paul Gadi of IGDA where they used to make games for some telcos and now thru Android and games for iPhone. Their company also released some games on Facebook.

One of the highlights was the presentation of Mobile Bayani Awards.

Hoping to get my 2nd serving of Momo Manila soon!

Taste Drive: Highlands Corned Beef

Before the TV commercial came out last August 31, I already had a taste drive of the product that I blogged: Highlands corned beef

I bought it in one of CDO food stores in the metro (Yes, it's from CDO). Currently, they had 4 available sizes: 300+ g., 180g (the one that you saw at the TV ad just like the size of the flat canned tuna) , 150 g.and the 100 g. that I bought for testing.

As the ad said, it's the premium breed of corned beef so I'm expecting that this is really delicious just like the competition and the best way to test if it is really delicious is to heat it straight and no other ingredients added.

After a plate of rice, all I can say is I'm contended with the taste, aside from the fact that (compared to the 150 g. size of the nearest competitor) it is a lot cheaper. Next time, I'm gonna try it with sauteed potatoes one time or a good ingredient for sopas (for a change). You can already buy this product in your favorite supermarkets.

In my hands

Few remaining left after I heated it, ang sarap e!

Taste Drive: KFC Tower Burger

And I just got my first feature on Taste Drive where I will rely on my taste buds on the newest and unique food and food-related products. My first offering: the KFC Tower Burger

I got it in between the blogging event that I attended last August 5. After a long day, I need something that will really fill up my tummy and I chose this.

At Gadget Magazine's Pinoy Blogfest 2.0

After my normal activities last August 5, I went to Trinoma Activity Center to witness the Pinoy Blogfest 2.0

Unlike last year (where it held in a hotel), this time it was open to the public as the mall shoppers can see the entire event. I dropped by there at around 4pm to see the exhibitors first

At Nuffnang Pizza Hut movie screening of Cowboys and Aliens

Last August 10, I was one of the chosen 100 Nuffnangers who watched Cowboys and Aliens (starring Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford) at Cinema 3 of Gateway Cinema. Many many thanks to Pizza Hut, our stomachs we're filled plus that great dance production number from the Pizza Hut Delivery boys

Before the screening, some Pizza Hut crew also had a little program as they had a little as they're shouted mainly "WE WANT HOT!"(with some placards) referring to Pizza Hut's promise of having your pizzas delivered to your house as hot as they get from their oven

Back to the movie (with some doubts from some people locally at Twitter), I watched it and overall, it was an entertaining film to watch. You can enjoy the movie even on 2d

The only pic that I shot coz I'm low batt (damn!)

In the part 2 of this blog, I had a side story regarding a starting blogger who almost had no chance to watch this exclusive screening, thanks to my extra ticket

Being A Nuffnang Blogger is the Hottest Thing Since 2009

I'm lucky that I'm included in the huge list of bloggers under the Nuffnang Philippines since 2009. Why is it the hottest thing to get in for you my fellow blogger? To be in the know and to mingle with your fellow bloggers (with the same, almost the same and different) themes online is a good thing especially when I saw them in the flesh.

Another one is to be with the exclusive events and offers especially only done for us

If there's a pizza that is also hot is Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut now delivers Hot on the Dot Pizza deliveries: 30 minutes AND hot (as indicated by the thermally activated sticker you place on the pizza box upon receiving your pizza) or your pizza if FREE! For delivery, just dial 911-111 if you want our pizzas Hot on the Dot

At Knightsbridge Residences Party from Century Properties

Last July 12, I was invited to be in my first ever blog project for anything real estate: at the Knightsbridge Residences party happened at Opus Bar in Resorts World Manila

Hosted by Ms. Andi Manzano, the event was jampacked as it was also the "reveal" of  the residences' new ad (phographed by Mr. Raymond Isaac) and the 25th anniversary of Century Properties. Also present were the models from the Professional Models of the Philippines (PMAP) headed by Ms. Phoemela Baranda as they became a part of the ad

This 63-storey development located in Kalayaan Ave., Makati City takes its name after the most expensive neighborhood in London, Knightsbridge. It is the luxury, prestige, central location  and rich history of Knightsbridge in London that has inspired the creative of Century to develop a high rise that would be the confluence of old world Europe and cool Britannia. This will be completed on 2013

As of that night, only 45 units were left. It was a successful event. Congratulations, Century Properties

Food Review: Selecta Gold Series Caramel Cheesecake

Few weeks ago, I saw the 800ml. size of the new flavor of Selecta Gold Series which is the Caramel Cheesecake. As always in terms as I gonna try a new product, I wanna have a taste test first via the smallest size.

Last weekend, I found the size that I'm looking for (which is the 100 ml. size, costs 30 php)
As the product says, it's a vanilla ice cream with swirls of caramel and chunky cheesecake bits made with Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese. My verdict: it's true to their words. In a way, it's like having to try 2 products in one especially if you haven't try the goodness of Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese (even though it's already mixed in the cheesecake bits)

At The 1st day of NBA 3 on 3 event, Mall of Asia

July 1 was the first day of the NBA 3 on 3 event held at SM Mall of Asia (which it had a successful run till last Sunday, July 3)

Lucky at that day that we saw former Michael Jordan's teammate (from Chicago Bulls) and NBA legend Horace Grant live plus the Knicks City Dancers of New York Knicks

The Philippines U-18 basketball team was also present there with coach Olsen Racela to join in the festivities

At Lenovo Thinkpad X1 launch at New World Hotel Makati

Last June 24, me and my fellow bloggers invited to the launch of Lenovo Thinkpad X1 happened at New World Hotel in Makati

The thinnest Thinkpad ever and it has a lot of power packed features that will make your work more efficient

With that weight of 3.7 pounds plus that Gorilla Glass onto their screen, it's a guarantee that you'll gonna have a scratch free monitor. It has also the RapidCharge technology which you can charge 80% of the Thinkpad's battery for just 30 minutes

Fete De La Musique Indie Stage at The Keg

Last June 25, I had my first Fete de la Musique after 5 years(?). The last Fete that I attended was way back when it was held at The Podium (for alternative stage) and the nearby El Pueblo in Ortigas (for rock stage)

From what I know, it was a first time to have an indie stage in the said event, to put up all great indie local bands. Thanks to Mei Bastes of Meiday! Meiday! who made this possible. The entrance's free and there's a special 50php beer and a special cocktail (that green liquid) available at the area

The venue was in The Keg bar within the Fort Strip at Bonifacio Global City. I already arrived there at around 9:30pm and from the outside, it was already jampacked. What's more when I'm inside the area as I heard Kate Torralba on the stage
