From QC to PBL to the Brewrats booth and Roborock Show

If you listened closely to the Brewrats last March 9, I announced on-air that I'll be visiting them on March 11 with another good reason (clue: its Tado-related) aside from the face that I really wanna see the new booth coz still I'm not contended to the pictures that I saw on Twitter world.

March 11, it was my free day and I got my first stop somewhere in QC. After that, I arrived at Ynares Sports Center in Pasig at around 4pm to catch the 2nd game of the PBL between Fern-C and Ascof. It's nice to see former Brgy. Ginebra player and now Fern-C coach Bal David in the flesh. It's also quite cool that I had my another day of massive tweeting on the road. My last time was way back October last year when I joined the Brewrats EK trip. After the game, I still had an hour to go to be in the new booth of U92. That info thru GPS and Google Maps really helped me to be on track coz I used the streets of a known subdivision of that said city to have a some sort of a shortcut to Silvercity.

Past 6:30pm when I was already in Silvercity, the nearest landmark of the rats' camp. I even had time to eat in a nearby fastfood chain and do some strolling in a nearby mall. Past 645pm when I'm officially in the U92 office but not yet in the booth as Tado was the 1st rat to arrive. He already noticed me together with my shirt that I'm wearing that time. "Ang ganda nyan,a!" That's the line that I remembered from him as he's approaching the radio booth. Ramon came in second as he had his dinner in the table near the pantry section. Quite funny coz looks like we were in "pakiramdaman" mode on who's the one to greet. I'm hestitated that time coz he's eating until Ramon broke the silence and greeted me with my known "call sign" in the republic. It was the first time to have a hefty long conversation esp. about Twitter. Fast forward to past 720pm as Angel was in "nagmamadali" mode to rush to the booth as I'm waiting outside for a chance to be in the booth sometime (as one of the rats promised me). More off-air moments in that episode, they actually had 2 groups of guests, one from a magazine publication (as the plugged something for the show) and a group of video production people (coz I'm familiar to the face of one of theuir staff) who took some shots for a company. I already decided to leave the area at around 830pm coz it might be impossible for me to be in the booth due to some reasons. To be honest, I felt a little disappointed in that time plus the fact that I can't even see the rats in the booth even when I'm just inside the station's office.

Something to cheer me up when I had my last stop to RJUR booth for my last stop to the Roborock Radio Show of Stanley Chi and company. I was there coz I volunteered to create their blog site and it was also my new online baby. Just like when I had my first guesting there in that station years ago (ninjja!), I received the warmest possible welcome there. Hanging out there in their show was a blast, a nice thing to cap my day.

Life in Taborea: The World of Runes of Runes of Magic

I'm a big fan of RPG games either on a gaming console or thru a PC since my high school days. My interest evolved to my favorite game genre when Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs) landed here in the local shores. I'm quite meticulous when it comes on choosing which online game that I gonna play until Runes of Magic caught my attention after I heard their latest radio ads and some gaming demos in some malls.

One of the factors that really caught is Runes of Magic "world" called Taborea. There's one small thing inside that if I fell in love in a game, sometimes I was in a dream of a place or a world of a game that I'm currently playing.

I already expecting Taborea to be as dangerous as you may imagine in any given time. I want to be a Kinght as my character class because it is a sign of a brave warrior and I love to fight in close-in combats. The famous line " No man is an island" is also applicable to an MMORPG world so I really need friends and allies of different classes to have a balance attack. In any team-based challenge, I'm a team player so every single Mage, Priest, Rogue, Scout and my favorite close-in fight buddy Warrrior will be important to get a win. There's always a room for improvement and reinforcement so a sword synthesizing shop in evey town will play a vital part to compete and survive as I go further for bigger and more enduring challenges. I also imagine (and hoping) to have a little or virtual Filipino-based community in that world so that I want to challenge those known Pinoy folklore creatures like Tikbalang, Kapre or an evil counterpart of the giant Bernardo Carpio with some twists. One of the twists that I really want when I face an enemy is that the creature has more life points than it's usual capacity in some random places. For sure, it's gonna give like a little surprise but also like a chess match just to gain that precious victory.

My destination to Taborea will be one of my nicest adventures to be if I gonna have a chance. How I wish that this place is existing in this present world and timeline.

First hand experience with the Big Blue of Nat Geo

Weeks ago, I saw the replica of the Big Blue at the Alabang Town Center and I was amazed in this creature. Good thing, Nat Geo brought this replica in our local shores. Sadly, it had its last day in the country yesterday at the Greenbelt. I even checked the 6 LCD screens on the site as they brought different infos about the creature

Me @ Micosoft VIP Bloggers Night

Last Thursday, I attended my first blogging event for this year organized by Microsoft Philippines. I'm one of the 100 bloggers to join in their demo about the new Microsoft Office 14. It was also my first time to be in the Microsoft Phils. office so my eyes were in excitement and amusement. I had a great time to be in the know on Word, Excel and Powerpoint 2010 especially the new Windows Live where I can present a Powerpoint presentation even that I'm out of the office or country (thru the use of the net) and combine 3 or more pictures via their Photo Stitch feature. The buffet was also good that I almost didn't have to eat for dinner (and there's also cases of beer!). I also met some other bloggers like Jack the Scribbler, Boy Kuripot and Ms. Flaircandy. I had a Windows cap, Windows Live and Windows Live 2010 Beta CD installers as my take home goodies.

Some photos grabbed from MS Phils. Facebook

Overall, I'm completely satisfied in this event. Thanks to the bloggers and to the men and women behind Microsoft Philippines.

Tado was in Full Time Moms just hours ago

I already tweeted this but here’s a lil summary.

Yes, while the Brewrats is rolling, Tado was in QTV’s Full Time Moms (M-F 7:30pm) with guests Smokey Manaloto & K Brosas. I didn’t get their exact topic for that episode but they played a candle blowing game with a twist, they had to blow it w/o the use of their mouth. Tado blew it via his nose. He didn’t have a chance to plug his Limitado or the Brewrats.

Double Redemption Blog Post: Thanks to Puregold San Pedro & Gonuts Donuts Westgate

It happened at the same day. Throughout the Christmas season, I was in a craze to collect those Coke Christmas plates and we usually have at least a big bottle of Coke in our fridge. Good thing, Puregold San Pedro had something to say about my hundreds of Coke caps. Of course, they exchanged it with those limited edition Christmas plates. In fact, I almost collected 2 sets of that said plates. Thanks to the friendly staff of Puegold San Pedro for the service and that redemption with no hassle.

In that same night while I am listening to the Brewrats, I also visited the branch of Gonuts Donuts Westgate (within Filinvest Corporate City) to claim the free ice cream tub that I got fromtheir promo in Facebook (here's the link to their FB fan page). The first 2,000 people to join in their fan page will have that free ice cream tub for free (the size looks like as the same as a normal pint ince cream but imagine that bowl from those fried noodles from those who sell fried noodles in those booths). From their female manager (?) through the phone to their crew, oh! they're friendly and accomodating. They asked me if it's ok to me to wait for some more minutes and I said yes (as long that it is free). I picked Belgian Chocolate and man, it was a blast and a steal, too. Imagine, I got a freebie worth P185 (the other flavors cost P215 and I'm a choco lover) . After I got the stuff, I was in a chillax mode in one of their tables outside their branch enjoying that creamy ice cream.

You may also try their donut-shaped pizzas and I was also a great buy. You may visit their site at www.gonutsdonuts.com
