It took me some months to finally drop my verdict on the first Poco phone that I purchased and in time that it's next model will launch in a few (and if it is still worth it to buy), meet Poco X7 Pro.

The delivery though took me around 12 days of waiting from overseas. I chose the 512 GB variant as aside from the processing upgrade for me, I badly need a bigger storage for my video content creation mostly on my Youtube
On the first boot, the device provided me up to 3 major updates including the jump from Android 15 to 16 (the device will have support up to Android 19 based on reports). It was my first time to dig in HyperOS but it was not much of a learning curve for me as it was quite easy to learn from multitasking and more. One thing that I missed (compared to Magic OS) is the 5G toggle which on this device, that you have to go down to the settings to change your mobile data from LTE to 5G. The phone also lacks a feature that Magic OS do on AI photo eraser
On benchmarks, Antutu gave us from 1.9 to 1.95 million in scoring from normal in 60 Hz up to performance mode in 120 Hz refresh rate on display
Connectivity is one of the best for me for a high midranger esp. that it has a dedicated 5G SA mode which helped me a lot on maximizing DITO's 5G SA that I was able to stream heavily on Youtube in a dense area like MOA Music Hall from the recent M7 watch party. Of course, Globe and Smart worked a-ok in here as well as calls, Bluetooth, GPS and WiFi.
On audio as expected on the improvements that they did, not surprised that I am completely satisfied on Bluetooth, Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers and thru USB-C wired earphones.
As a first time Poco user, I really patiently waited and watched out on the camera department as their previous models said in a number of reviews said that the quality were on "pwede na" grade. On video up to 4K, Poco X7 Pro's output is usable especially that I got the highest storage model possible. You will only be up to FHD 30 fps on front camera. On photos, it can be usable up to 3x zoom. Other camera modes like filters, night mode and pro are more than usable for me.
Battery is about a bit above average for me for a 6,000 mAh battery as I can only max it out for around 1.25 days. There are two modes of charging in this device. Boost mode gave us up to almost 50 minutes in full charge while on top level (if you really care that much on battery health) can still have up to 100% battery in a bit over an hour
With the upcoming release of the Poco X8 Pro with a bit improvements on it's processing power (plus you will only gonna miss the FHD 60 fps video shooting), I think that Poco X7 Pro is still worth considering to buy this 2026 now that it is more affordable and expect that Poco X8 Pro will be much expensive. I got this device for around Php 13,000 and sometimes if you are lucky, it can go as low as over Php 10,000 for it's base model of 256 GB
Poco X7 Pro is 4.25 out of 5. You can buy Poco X7 Pro thru the link here
